If they have kids. Higher paid labor pays more in taxes and creates more in demand. Cheap labor is only good for short run equilibriums not long run equilibriums.

except you cannot force a person to change one minimum wage job for another, unless you want to become a communist country. Btw, why would a person trade a min wage job that is year round for a seasonal min wage job? They would still be getting food stamps.
