Ive seen you day in and day out be one of the most passionate cultists for Trump, head over heels in love with him and his politics and believing he can do no wrong. Why the hell would anyone care what a Trump cultist has to say about Biden? No **** you don't like him, that's the point. The less you like him the better of a Democrat he is.

Where the **** is Trump's legalization? You don't care about marijuana otherwise you'd criticize Trump for keeping it illegal.

I've never been more than the devil's advocate on a board that heavily leans left. I guess I just like to ruffle feathers. I didn't vote for him in 2016 and won't vote for him this time either. Calling out consistent Trump supporters when they pretend to care about Democratic issues is the definition of sanity. If you gave one flying **** about cannabis legalization you'd criticize Trump to high heaven instead of transparently trying to make it a wedge issue. Republicans are fundamentally opposed to legalization.

I am hard on lefties because I used to consider myself one before I realized most of you are just as ignorant and morally bankrupt as Republicans. Now I'm more of an anarchist. Also the active posters on this board are mostly left wing and I like to disrupt the echo chamber. This forum doesn't need more Trump criticism; there's plenty already. That's the truth, but don't take it from me; we both know you know me better than I do.

That's exactly right. Per Procon.org, the top 5 issues for Americans are health-care, jobs/economy, immigration, social security, and climate change. The ability to smoke recreational pot is not on there.

Biden's position is reducing the penalty for possession of pot, and allow states to decide on whether or not, recreational pot should be legal.

The OP is staying Democrats should not vote for Biden because he is (or was, or whatever) against legalizing pot but that means going with the alternative that is Republicans who are generally speaking themselves against legalizing pot.

I think his point is that recreational marijuana is a top priority. The ability to smoke weed in your house or walking down the street is more important than things like health-care and the economy.

I disagree.

While I will not say that the issue of drugs is more important than the economy or healthcare I would not be so dismissive of the issue either. It is easy to argue that our so called 'war on drugs' has made us both the top nation for incarceration as well as disproportionate application targeting minorities. There has been economic and social consequences to all of this going back to ole Ronnie.

The point I was making is if Biden is still against legalizing pot I suspect there is still more room for negotiation with Democrats on this issue than we will ever have with Republicans, who themselves are all too happy to see as much of the minority population in jail as they can through any means they can muster.

I think it has to do with the fact he's running on a conservative Democrat platform and his base is over the age of 50. When DNC pollsters ask people about their biggest concerns, the ability to smoke weed for recreational purposes, probably ranked toward the bottom or not mentioned at all. Biden is primarily running on health-care, the environment, and opposing all of Trump's policies.
