Michigan capitol closes amidst death threats from armed protestors

I am not a carrier. The law says that unless I am a KNOWN threat, the government cannot force me to wear a mask.

eg. a cop cannot arrest me for being drunk unless he tests me or has some other reason to believe I am drunk.

They reopened Wisconsin. NO ONE is wearing masks now. Your opinion means nothing to them or me.

Wisconsin stay-at-home order lifted, bars reopen amid coronavirus

The supreme court disagrees with all of you and agrees with ME!

The supreme court is a farce here In Wisconsin, and most people are wearing masks.

Answer me this, if the supreme Court thought you were right, why we're they all safely at home when they made that ruling???

75,000 is many orders of magnitude is closer than those who predicted up to 2,000,000, 1,000,000, 500,000 and even 264,000 (and in fact 75K was made by one of the leading Australian models, as well as MORE than what the IHME predicted until May 4th).

By that criteria, the man has earned five gold stars.

In two and a half months...

WOW, I thought I sucked at math...

More importantly, he would need to explain what difference it makes since localities can still impose regulations as they see fit.

Whitmer, like all the other power besotted governors, has no authority to keep people at home and states shut down indefinitely. They have simply arrogated that power to themselves, power nowhere found in law and certainly not in the US Constitution. They are merely enjoying being little dictators because, at heart, that's what they believe in.

Wrong, here in Wisconsin a whole building has been quarantined with armed guards outside...

That was after the idiotic ruling by the clown court...

The big problem is is that a **** load of bars opened last night, and dumnasses across the state we're elbow to elbow, the only masks to be seen were around the bartenders necks...

That's the point. I can't be legally arrested because you THINK I might be harmful to you.

Really?

Ever hear of a DUI???

I haven't had a. accident in 45 years, but I have two DUIs from random stops...

Why is every single person in each of those pictures literally repulsive looking?

Aw c'mon. Don't you feel safer with a good guy with a gun around?

The court rightfully recognizes that the governor has overstepped his power. The arbitrary power the left so enjoys using for itself is something they'd NEVER tolerate if conservatives were using it.

Thats because they would use it to have everyone quarantined and making **** in thier houses to help businesses when the DOW falls apart, because money....

I'm not fearful, I'm just considerate. Wearing a mask and practicing social distancing has been shown to slow the rate of spread with Covid. We're in middle of a pandemic, with almost 87K deaths with just over 3 months. That's just reality. These folk who are raging against wearing a mask are just acting like Don Quixote, tilting at windmills. Wearing a mask is shown to slow the rate of spread, it's just a bit of courtesy to show each other, and a path to get things open faster. There's no real reason to reject wearing a mask in public.

The Wisconsin SC disagrees. But if YOU want to be considerate, go for it.

Where were they supposed to be? Doesn't matter. they ruled and people are out and about, as they should be.

Could they arrest you just because?

I would like hear your analysis of what they actually ruled... Did they rule that stay at home orders are illegal?

Wisconsin is open for bidness.

I do wish to be considerate, thank you. I think that particularly in times of crisis it serves better for us to come together as a people and show a bit of empathy instead of getting mad and up in arms about crap.

Could they arrest you just because?

They can arrest you on suspicion of DUI.

They can't officially charge you with it until the BAC test comes back.

Much the same, they could detain you for not wearing a mask, and if there was a charge to come, it wouldn't do so until after the test came back positive.

Wisconsin is open for bidness.

As long as locality doesn't impose regulations. If a mayor was to determine that they needed to impose safer or stay at home measures, they could do just that and the SC would say nothing about it.

I am not a carrier.
You do not know that. I am not going to believe that someone who has been arguing about not taking preventative measures since the beginning of this pandemic will now say that they voluntarily, anecdotally, had the screening. And even if it was so, that was at least a week prior....and gawd knows, you have not been isolating.

The law says that unless I am a KNOWN threat, the government cannot force me to wear a mask.
I wasn't arguing anything concerning the law, I was highlighting the lack of common sense you are putting on stage.

eg. a cop cannot arrest me for being drunk unless he tests me or has some other reason to believe I am drunk.

The court was not concerned with masks, the idea that what others do justifies your lack of common sense should have been corrected when you used to scream, "but Mom, they get to, why can't I?"

Further, you don't live in WI.

Lastly, even the moron State Sen. Dan Feyen said:

state officials would develop a reopening plan soon and, in the meantime, citizens should exercise "good old-fashioned common sense and personal responsibility."

Thats because they would use it to have everyone quarantined and making **** in thier houses to help businesses when the DOW falls apart, because money....

Total silliness. The left likes arbitrary power. It's why they're fighting so hard to keep the lock down in place. They're a bunch of little Louis XIV's issuing their royal decrees. The rest of us plebeians are just supposed to nod our heads and obey.

Colorado has a Democrat led Congress and our Governor is a Democrat and we're in middle of reopening plans.

Sort of shoots your theory in the foot there.

I don't agree. This is VERY divisive and an infringements on my rights to freedom of assembly. It is making us all more angry and divided.

You didn't answer the question... Did they rule that stay at home orders are illegal?

All I know is people are at bars and restaurants without masks. That's what we're talking about.
