It's a simple one. Has Trump done ANYTHING positive for the country as President?

Ordered the mission to kill the leader of ISIS.

There's been a few "stopped clock" good actions. He's pardoned some minorities who were given outrageous sentences for minor crimes. (one was a first offense, non-violent drug conviction for life in prison) Although credit for that belongs more to Kim Kardashian than anyone else.

Here ya go.

He's forced us to think in novel ways, questioning the basics of government & Constitution. That is a good thing. But he's not worth it.

Trump has held a mirror up to the American people; what we do now is up to us.......

Can't think of much off the top of my head. He has woken a lot of people up to the reality of how disgusting and immoral the Republican party is, but that's about it.

He gave us the cure for coronavirus thru disinfectant injections

God bless you donnie

Yeah, he definitely highlighted just how much of our government depended entirely on a gentlemen's agreement. The massive oversight of the founding fathers when it came to forming the executive branch. At least we can see how they messed it up, now.

Why do you even have to ask?

Pre-corona:

An economic boom.

Fast rising wages for the first time in two decades.

A big tax cut for the middle class.

Falling poverty rates, welfare use and food stamp use.

Not only is working to prevent China from stealing and cheating its way to economic superiority, but established a strong bipartisan consensus about the issue. That's one of the biggest issues perhaps of the century, certainly for decades to come.

Vastly cutting illlegal immigration, much of it paid for by Mexico's controlling its southern border.

Building a border wall.

Induced Mexico to protect their southern border and prevent illegals from passing through Mexico to the US.

Changing many policies regarding immigration to lower immigration fraud, most prominently "asylum" claims, 90% of which are fraudulent.

Rebuilding the military that Obama left in horrific shape.

Most deregulation in almost half a century.

Ended Obama's War on Coal.

Expansion of oil and gas exploration and production.

Partial repeal of Obamacare toward far superior Free Market poicies.

Going from losing manufacturing jobs to gaining them.

A good post-NAFTA trade deal and an excellent one with China; working on the second.

He is draining the Swamp. How many high FBI, Justice Dept and State Dept officials have been fired? And indictments will come of Obama and Deep State officials who participated in the coup attempt against him.

Huh?

A coal lobbyist runs the EPA

A pharma exec runs HHS

An oil lobbyist runs the DOI

A Raytheon lobbyist runs DOD

A Verizon lawyer runs FCC

A Goldman Sachs exec runs Treasury

A private equity kingpin runs Commerce

A billionaire Amway heiress runs DoED

He *is* the swamp! :doh

Your request to take the question seriously has one major problem... TDS.

Most of those infected aren't capable of seeing past the rage and the seething hated that dominates their every waking moment.

To answer your question, Trump has made great strides on the illegal immigration front, has reworked some very unfair trade agreements to the nations benefit, and has gotten several American companies abroad to return to the US.

I’ll grant you the immigration.

What are the ‘trade deals,’ and what are the significant improvements?

What are the companies that have returned to the CONUS?

So the OP stated a question for Liberals only, but by the second page we have to see the right wing ass kissing posts.

Sure he has. He has shown us the extent to which dishonest degenerates will go to, to defend someone just because he is like them.

For things only trump did, I cant think of many off the top of my head. I think he had an executive order allowing people at the VA to get fired for poor performance. There were also some positive moves on drug prices.

His admin and the federal govt have accomplished a lot of good stuff. The tax cut bill allowed American companies overseas to pay local corporate tax rate instead of american rate. It also double the child tax credit and the standard deduction. As a reform though it left a lot of problems and as usual didnt pay for itself or create jobs that wouldnt have been created anyways while adding to the deficit. They needed to raise corporate gains or wealthy tax rates or something else to offset the big cuts elsewhere. It will need to be reformed again soon. Big business is still getting away with negative rates. That is criminally broken and anti competitive, but the right is confused enough about their identities and who's boots to lick that they cant figure it out.

I like the title IX change until they said it would not require sports personnel to report misconduct....ridiculous. Due process is a natural human right as important as self defense and free speech. The obama era response to the epidemic of sex assault went too far I think to try to account for the inherent difficulty of delivering justice in those he said she said types of crimes.

In general, I like the idea of renegotiating regularly the agreements that America has with other nations. I would have bought in if he were sane or stable about it.

Strategically adding walls along the border and improving border and immigration security, I'm happy with too if its needed. But again, trump made it a racist and toxic event mired with dishonesty and stupidity.

I'm good with deportation when crimes have been committed. I do not consider being in the country without documentation is a crime worthy of that.

There were steps take to shift more grant money to worker retraining and vocational training. That was good. Idk what the mechanism was for those.

I thought his idea to engage the private sector in ramping up ppe and testing was great but it was terribly executed and way too late. His Corona response has been dreadful.

Idk, I'm sure there's more. When reasonable people see the list of things that have happened they will surely find good and bad.

Yes.

And your question is idiotic. My problem with Trump is not that he has never done anything positive. My problem is that the overwhelming majority of his actions and statements he has taken or said as president is absolutely horrible for the country. Trump supporters want me to pretend like it's ok for a president to claim "absolute immunity". Or to spend most mornings going on twitter tirades. This president is so far out of bounds and nutty that 2 days ago he speculated that a journalist was guilty of murder and no one even mentions it. If the president was currently a stable adult and he made a claim like that, literally the entire country would be screaming "what the **** are you talking about" until he personally came out and clarified his comments and we were all sure he wasn't in the beginning stages of dementia. Fr Trump that's just a Monday morning.

Every year, I pay my taxes; that's something positive for the country. Perhaps he does too, so that would be something.

I think he has demonstrated just how fragile our form of government is and to be ever vigilant against electing (or allowing to be elected) someone who is so morally bankrupt, incompetent, and disinterested in leading the country.
