Trump aide denied campaign rigging in pre-election conversation with FBI secret source: transcript | Fox News

An FBI confidential human source secretly recorded George Papadopoulos in the final days of the 2016 presidential election and pressed him over whether the Trump campaign was involved in Russian election meddling -- something the campaign aide emphatically denied, according to a transcript of that conversation.

Fox News obtained the transcript of the recording, which spreads over 173 pages. Papadopoulos, a former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser, is referred to in the transcript as "Crossfire Typhoon" or "CT."

So there are a couple of things here:

1. The FBI WAS using confidential human sources to investigate the Trump campaign and the use of the "Crossfire Typhoon" designation ties this source directly tot he Crossfire Hurricane investigation.

2. The FBI had a direct denial by an object of their investigation that the Trump campaign was working with Russia yet failed to include that information in the FISA warrant application as well as any subsequent renewals.

That's beyond shady. It is also an indication that they had no evidence to DISPROVE the Papadopolous denial because if they had such information that would have ABSOLUTELY been included in the evidence given to the FISC.

They doctored the evidence to suit their agenda. When you are trying to bring off a coup, exculpatory evidence has to go.

This sure appears to be a rather flagrant violation of, well, EVERYTHING we expect from 4th Amendment protections. We have seen little to no probable cause for the warrant and are seeing more and more information which shows NO cause.

The FISC needs to go. Government simply can't be trusted with that kind of power.

1. Typical FBI tactic. This isn't amazing or newsworthy.

2. Horowitz investigated crossfire hurricane. The FBI was investigating serious and valid concerns. There was no ill intent or bias. Your attempt at ignoring everything and still trying to pretend that this was some deep state conspiracy is sad and pathetic.

Everyone knows that when the suspect denies doing anything wrong, the police have to stop investigating.

In other words: just another slavish and moronic Trump-slurping thread from Lutherf.

They altered evidence to make it say the opposite of what it said. Will you be OK if a prosecutor does that to you?

Except that Papadapolous wasn't talking to the police. Your support of evidence tampering is noted.

If the suspect denies the accusations and those denials can't be disproved by other evidence then they must stand. Furthermore, if the suspect denies the accusations and evidence to disprove that denial exists then it is used to advance the prosecution. It is handed to the courts. That didn't happen here so, in all likelihood, it doesn't exist.

Sure, why should the FBI take notice when a POTUS candidate's son in law is reportedly bragging on how much money the candidate can get and has gotten from Russia.

You've got it exactly right. If you're truly going to belong as a Trump supporter, never trust your own eyes or ears. That's "exculpatory evidence." Only trust what dear leader tells you.

Nice flight from the topic. The topic is Papadapolous and what he said to an undercover FBI agent. Keep hanging onto that hearsay, though. It's worked so well up to now.

Federal law is one party consent. You should understand the law before you decide to grandstand.

Are you talking about the recording? Sure, one party is fine. The problem comes with IGNORING WHAT'S ON THAT RECORDING and not only moving forward with warrants but failing to provide the courts with that exculpatory information.

There is no "they" in your claim. A low-level lawyer altered a document, it was discovered and he was fired from the FBI, as he should have been. The investigation found it had no meaningful impact on the FISA applications or the investigation.

I suggest you go read the report so you don't embarrass yourself further.

What does this have to with Carter Paige? Page was the target for the FISA warrants. Poppadopoulus plead guilty for lying to the FBI.

The only embarrassment is you guys excusing evidence tampering, or anything else, in the get Trump manic quest.

Ah, you're having yet more problems with English comprehension eh? From the OP, discussing Russian interference in the election:

2. The FBI had a direct denial by an object of their investigation that the Trump campaign was working with Russia yet failed to include that information in the FISA warrant application as well as any subsequent renewals.

When clearly there was other evidence that there could be a connection.

Thank you for proving me 100% correct. I said true Trump supporters never trust their own eyes and ears, they only believe what dear leader tells them to believe. And here you are, literally parroting what dear leader has told you to believe rather than trusting your own eyes and ears. :lamo

Who has stated the FBI lawyer wasn’t wrong? You guys notice Fox News uses their own Fox News story to simply feed their starved Durham fans waiting for the nothing Show.

And they ignore the other evidence the FBI had that would and should instigate an investigation. Only trust dear leader. And dear leader approved news sources.

Excusing evidence tampering? I just stated that the guy was fired as he should have been, and now you are accusing me of excusing his actions? If someone deleted all of your posts that contain lies it would likely cut your count in half or more. Now go on and tell me about all the things you think I did that I never actually did.

Trump loves embarrassing himself publicly, he does it almost daily. Why wouldn't some of his supporters?

Papodopolous stated that nobody in the campaign was working with Russia. Unless the FBI had other information that implied, REASONABLY, that someone in the campaign WAS working with Russia then this denial is absolutely something that should have been disclosed to the court. It's all part of the same investigation.

This is amusing. First off, those public appearances by Trump aren't evidence of anything other than your fetid imagination. Secondly, what do you think the word "reportedly" means in your link about Eric Trump? Right, unsubstantiated rumor. There's really no need to belabor this however because the Russia hoax failed miserably. Even Mueller's Democrat bloodhounds couldn't find anything. So sad.

Exactly. But, being patently dishonest and Trump obsessed, they fail to see the importance.

Other evidence? Oh right, the fake dossier.:lamo

Firing the guy who got caught evidence tampering doesn't change anything. The FBI was dishonest just like they were calling the dossier verified when it was a fairy tale.
