The equal time doctrine was abolished by Reagan. Now it's a negotiation. The leadership in the crisis shouldn't be a partisan issue, but trump has made it one, and Biden probably should speak out in a 'rebuttal' daily.

I wasn’t aware of the Reagan action. The MSM is falling for the same thing they fell for in 2015-2016, imo.

It never really was 'equal time'; it was called the 'fairness doctrine', and allowed for some response. It was popular as a policy, but rarely used with little impact; Congress restored it, but Reagan vetoed the bill; they were trying again under Bush 41 and he threatened another veto; and then it was forgotten.
