Find just about anyone on CNN, MSNBC, The View or any other left dominated broadcast or publication talking about it and the insinuations are two-fold. First that the drug is inordinately dangerous because the use here is off-label. That's false. The second is that Trump is somehow getting people to take it as if this can be done without a doctor. Also false. The third and newest outrage is that Trump is somehow profiting from it. Nevermind that it's a cheap generic that can be made by many drug companies.

Maybe the drug works maybe it doesn't. We don't know yet. Doctors who want to try it should be free to try it and be part of a clinical study. Those who are not doctors should not be recommending treatments.

What is actually simple is that you badly bungled this issue. If Trump or any president has strong evidence that a treatment can help patient's health or even save their lives, he is morally obligated to advocate it.

Trump and those who are advocating the treatment are taking their information from doctors who have used it successfully, who have studied its use, not making it up out of whole cloth.

One Democrat lawmaker said her life was saved because Trump advocated the treatment at his daily appearances.

But what do liberals advocate? "Shut up!" they explain.:(

I've watched Fox throughout this entire period, and I have never ONCE heard anyone call it a hoax.

I have watched them follow the limited and often conflicting available information, which even Fauci, liberal sources, Democrat politicians and the media said over this period.

But strange thing, liberals never blame their side for getting it wrong; only Trump, Fox and conservatives.

THE CENTRAL POINT is that there never was any consensus about much of anything about the virus. Everyone was doing their best to offer the best information and informed projections.

But liberals play a dishonest, partisan game in crystal clear 20:20 hindsight.

It could turn out that any of trump's snake oil claims could turn out to be true. The MSM has never said they can't. It's wrong and irresponsible for him to get ahead of the research and make claims about them prematurely; he's already caused people to mistakenly take a similar sounding substance, killing at least one.
 
It's fair to say that Hannity did not call the virus entirely a hoax. He said that 99% of people not in high risk groups wouldn't be killed by it, and that the media was trying to cause fear about it as a way to attack trump and their claims about the virus were a hoax. His number might not be far off; he was minimizing the virus and inventing a media agenda to attack trump. He doesn't mention he used the word hoax.

Trump is not a doctor and should just relay what doctors are saying. Nobody should give two ****s about Trump's hunches about medical issues.

TRUMP IS NOT A DOCTOR

He's only morally obligated to not pretend he's a doctor.

Trump is not trained in evaluating the evidence of a drug's efficacy. I hope the drug works because that would save lives. But I also hope Trump stops playing doctor and lets the professionals do their work.

Trump never plays doctor. He discusses treatments but says clearly take the doctors word only.

You spoke well of what Trump actually has done all along. He tells us daily, "I am not the doctor" And doctors can legally prescribe. Trump supports doctors.

Trump never claimed to be a doctor nor was he dispensing medical advice. The "what do you have to lose" comment was for people who were gravely ill and unlikely to recover. If I were in that situation, I'd absolutely take the drug. Let's remember, also, that nobody can take this drug except by getting it from a doctor so the hysteria about Trump is just that, hysteria.

I'd like to see.....evidence. So far we have anecdotal accounts and small studies showing it works at least somewhat better than nothing, and others showing little benefit if any. I've not seen head to head against some of the other HIV type drugs, which might work better, we don't know.

Like I said, do as you wish. I'm thinking that any of these people who are so worried about the drug being proven to their satisfaction will run to it like a drowning man grabbing a raft if they get seriously ill.
