Vote Biden 2020

Yay!!!! Vote Joe Biden for president!!!!

So why do you think Trump has to do this phase 1,2,3?

Am I the only one here not a sucker?

how about you explain what you are talking about and we'll see.

you mean why Does Trump have to address China in phases? if so, because they already have their hands too far in our pockets, is my opinion, or , so our companies don't rebel. so what?

there is a difference though. Joe LOVES to give China anything they want, as best he can, given a choice. I'd rather not have a person like that steering our policy with them when it is our greatest need is to divest FROM them, not towards them again, regardless of the pain.

this is where Biden came from, he's Mr. globalization and he LOVES him some china.

Trump's current story about why his administration bungled the pandemic response so catastrophically is that he chose to remove the U.S.'s embedded epidemiologist from China and listen to China and the WHO instead. And they misled him!

Then why not one big swoop of a trade deal?

Why phase one, two and three?

Vote Biden 2020

Even though I haven't even gotten to vote in the ****ing primary yet, it looks like that's going to be the only viable option. I hate the two party system. However, I will be voting against the side that just voted from home to prevent people from voting from home during a pandemic.

Yeah, they dominate elections

If Do No Harm is good enough for our doctors bravely fighting on the frontline of Blue Death, it is good enough for me. :usflag2:

Awesome!

Good luck with that!!!!

Both the DNC and RNC suck. Both the DNC and RNC candidates suck. I will bide by time to keep from being purged from the voter rolls by the democrats in the statehouse.

Yeah, they dominate elections

I've been known to vote third party when I dislike both major party candidates. In fact I have done so five time since I first voted back in 1968 when you had to be 21 to vote. I don't believe in choosing between the lesser of two evils, the least worst major party candidate, the major party candidate who will do this nation less harm. Evils is evil, bad is bad, doing harm is doing harm.

I voted third party in 2016, I came to the conclusion that both Trump and Clinton would leave this country in far worst shape once either one left office than when either one first entered. I voted against harming this nation, other choose to vote for harming the nation, but a wee bit less than the other candidate would. How does that make one feel? Knowingly voting for harm? I'll give a pass for those avid Trump and Clinton supporters, they actually thought their candidate was the best. But to all who thought both candidates were bad for the country, that didn't like either major party candidate, your vote just ensured more of the same. A continuing choice between two evils.

Do ya think that our real problem is participating/voting in what is now a broken system?

No, I'll be voting Libertarian likely. The two senior citizen criminals the Republocrats put up can take a long walk off a short pier for all I care.
I was going to tear into this, but Joe has a 10 pt advantage in CO, so it doesn't matter.

He'll likely win Colorado. There are some big Trump supporters here, but likely not enough to take the State. Hillary won CO last time.

Still doesn't change who I'd vote for under any circumstance. I don't want some senile, handsy senior citizen in the Oval Office any more than I want some immoral, snake oil selling con-man in the Oval Office. Neither are fit for the job.

here is your parties' 2nd vote getter:

Vermin Love Supreme[1] (born June 3, 1961)[2] is an American performance artist and activist who has run as a candidate in various local, state, and national elections in the United States.[3][4][5] Supreme is known for wearing a boot as a hat and carrying a large toothbrush,[6] and has said that if elected President of the United States, he will pass a law requiring people to brush their teeth.[

Yeah, he's usually up there. We've had better candidates than the Republocrats have put up as of late. Gary Johnson, for all his faults, was leagues better....leagues better than Hillary or Trump.

lol

Your second running was Bernie Sanders, self described socialist, and old man shouting at the clouds.

lol

Why do I always fall into the trap of thinking I can have a serious, good faith discussion with you. The idea of equating "Vermin"...with Bernie, has no rational beginning.

Do ya think that our real problem is participating/voting in what is now a broken system?

Whether the system is broke or not, to have a voice one must vote. My voice in 2016 was a resounding no vote for both major party candidates. One of 9 million such votes. I do think 2016 was a very unique election with two very unwanted candidates chosen by the major parties. If one goes by the favorable/unfavorable's of Trump 36/60 and Clinton 38/58 nationwide, you can see neither was wanted to become the next president. The problem is there really wasn't another choice for most voters to voice their disdain for both major party candidates.

The major parties have basically muted all other parties and independent voices. Financially wise, Hillary raised and spent 1.191 billion, Trump 646.8 million to all other third party and independent candidates 6 million dollars. All third party candidates were excluded from the debates, all media coverage was to the two major parties, for most voters they didn't realize those weren't the only two choices.

Now was 2016 a one off? Where both parties just happened to nominate their candidates that a majority of Americans disliked and didn't want? 2016 was the only election in our history where both candidates unfavorables were above 50% and both candidates favorables below 50%. Only one candidate up to 2016 had a favorable rating of below 50% and that was Barry Goldwater in 1964 at 43%. His unfavorable was 47%, way below both Trump and Clinton.

I think before we start tinkering with the system, we need to decide if 2016 was the rare exception to the rule of both parties providing good and acceptable candidates? That is acceptable and viewed positively by all Americans, not just their political party and avid supporters. Every major party presidential candidate from 1952 through 2012 had over a 50% positive rating with the lone exception of Barry Goldwater. 2016 broke that string with two candidates viewed positive/favorably by only 36 and 38%. I do have some suggestions to improve things, to give the voters more choices in a realistic fashion which doesn't tinker with the system much at all.

Perhaps the problem is both major parties are shrinking, they are representing less and less people or a percentage of the electorate. More and more people are leaving them as both parties move further and further left and right leaving the average American without a political party to call home. Isn't it interesting that in 2006 70% of the electorate identified themselves with the two major parties, today, 2020, that is down to 60%. Both major parties have shed their more moderate factions retaining their hard core leftist and rightist.

Perhaps this has more to do with the messed up system than the system itself.

Vermin is always there, but never the candidate. What can I do about that? He's free to run, people are free to support him. Let me know if he becomes the LP candidate.

Joe Biden & China: He Takes Its Side, Reliably | National Review
this is where Biden came from, he's Mr. globalization and he LOVES him some china.

Trump's China policy has been a disaster.

His tariffs have hurt American business so badly that we are now subsidizing them more that we subsidized the auto industry in 2009.

Pulling out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership handed Asian markets to China.
