I've long documented examples, such as opposition to healthcare, where Republicans kill many Americans for their donors' benefit.

Today in Wisconsin, we saw them put American lives at risk completely needlessly, for their own power, to gain an edge in an election.

We're in the middle of a stay at home pandemic. Democrats pushed for various measures to allow their election to avoid harming voters. Delay the election. Make it mail-in. Extend the deadline for absentee voting.

Republicans cared about one thing: that the smallest turnout possible would help them win. They opposed every measure. They took giving some more days for the absentee voting to the Supreme Court, which had the five radical plutocrat judges as usual side with the Republicans against the four moderate Justices.

And so we saw long lines of people, too close together, in hours-long waits to vote today, all because Republicans put winning the election, hoping the danger would discourage people from voting, ahead of the lives of voters. The Republican speaker gave a statement that voters are incredibly safe to vote - while he wore protective gear.

That's their values. And when American lives mean that little to them, it's easy to imagine how little the lives of anyone else in the world mean to them.

If we dont have elections then we dont have a democracy.

I want to live in a democracy.

Suck It Up

Democrats were FOR having the election, without killing the voters. Republicans are for 'winning' by making voters risk their lives to vote. You say 'suck it up' about the virus. You're an immoral person who the rules, I presume, do not allow to be accurately labeled.

Why it's not illegal? Endangering people's health is crime here in Finland.

Current situation in Wisconsin:

a) COVID-19
b) Reduced polling sites
c) Not allowing vote by mail

That's reasonable combo? Please school me, if I'm missing something - because for now I can't see how that's good way to go? People wanna kill democracy?

Because poll workers weren't willing to risk their health, they reduced the voting sites in a large city from 180 to five. Further reducing voting, lengthening the lines, just like Republicans like.

As I explained in the OP, Republicans know that fewer voters help them win, so they want the election to have as few voters as possible, and don't care if that means killing people.

Democrats simply want to make it easier for illegal aliens and felons to vote.

You also reduce your chances to win elections later on. People should remember this. What's happening is try to kill democracy as you're less likely to trust politics after this crap (that should be illegal). I don't get it why this is fine in US.

Republicans AND Democrats.

The system we have is criminal by design.

And of course:

"If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal."

Democrats simply want to make it easier for illegal aliens and felons to vote.

Lie about illegal aliens, yes we want felons to be able to become citizens again. You'd think Republicans would want that for selfish reasons - the only type they seem to understand - with so many Republicans who are felons.

Wrong. As I said, Democrats tried to change the election to make it safer.

If you genuinely believe that either party is less of a vast criminal enterprise than the other...

Says the anti hydroxychloroquine crowd.

That statement is just not right. Many other states have postponed their elections. What would have been so bad for Wisconsin to have done the same?

The republicans saw an opportunity to suppress minority voters and grabbed it. It's totally despicable. What a bunch of rotten cheaters.

The only place this has happened recently was N. Carolina. You guessed it, the party that got busted was the republicans. Your statement fails.

Going out to vote during a pandemic is crazy, when we are under 'stay at home' orders....real smart. There should be NO going to a public polling, voting place during this time, period.

What do you propose instead?

They should have let people vote by mail. That decision was shameful.

The party of high morals and personal responsibility telling people to go out and vote during a pandemic while stay at home orders are for everyone else.

One day people who vote republican will recognize just how little the powers that be in the gop care about its base.

Postponement, or more absentee ballots, mail in ballots....anything except going out in a pandemic with 'stay at home' orders to vote. How could this even be considered a feasible election, because we know many will stay home and not go vote. This makes no sense to me and I am a republican and am concerned of the repercussions of this action in the future. I don't see how this could be a truthful desire of the peoples votes in a situation, such as this.

I would agree that in this situation, we need to develop a "vote from home" system immediately.
