It's time for Democrats to step up and do the right thing

I would feel bad if he wasn't such a creeper.

I decided not to go there... Like I said before, I really feel bad for Biden and I'm angry with the democrats for not doing something. Because this thread wasn't intended to be a political attack thread, I felt that my breaching the "creepy joe" topic wouldn't have been appropriate.

At least Joe will be a cordial lunatic.

He is? He is more cordial than Trump, that's not a high bar to hurdle. But he's by no means cordial in any sense of the word.

The official CDC COVID-19 timeline started on Jan. 12 (or 21, but I suspect that was a typo) 2020 according to it's website.

Cases in U.S. | CDC

This was the first confirmed case...One of many no doubt that arrived the same way.

On January 19, 2020, a 35-year-old man presented to an urgent care clinic in Snohomish County, Washington, with a 4-day history of cough and subjective fever. On checking into the clinic, the patient put on a mask in the waiting room. After waiting approximately 20 minutes, he was taken into an examination room and underwent evaluation by a provider. He disclosed that he had returned to Washington State on January 15 after traveling to visit family in Wuhan, China. The patient stated that he had seen a health alert from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about the novel coronavirus outbreak in China and, because of his symptoms and recent travel, decided to see a health care provider.

Well, it would be nice if we learn from all of this. But I think the response would have been much better under another president. South Korea was the model as to how to handle a pandemic

It's ridiculous to blame the POTUS for the current lack of testing capability. The "experts" are bragging about the US having the best COVID-19 testing capability in the world - while having tested only about 400K people so far. Testing people at the rate of 1M/day would take nearly a year.

The sad thing is that a healthy Biden I actually wouldn't be upset if he beat Trump. I see him as a fairly status quo type of individual. You're spot on though...he's falling apart.

Same here... Don't get me wrong, I would still prefer a republican in the oval office, but the thought of Biden becoming president never scared the hell out of my like It did with Hillary.... That is until now. The thought of him winning the election this year scares me, and for once my fears have nothing to do with ideology or political policy. This is sad to watch and it seems to be getting worse by the day.

How do you explain why the virus did not spread for 2 months? It took off in late January because that is when the cases arrived from China with infected Americans. You just want to make up something to absolve Trump.

II have already answered this. The hospitals and doctors knew NOTHING about any NEW virus. Why are you struggling with this so much? I don't get it. It's no like it's the difference between a heart attack and a car accident. It is a VIRUS. The FLU IS a VIRUS!!!

NOW that we KNOW there is this NEW strain of virus that we didn't know about before, we chalked up all the NEW flus and viruses AFTER we knew to the corona virus but we could not before then because we didn't know about it.

You misspelled trump

That Trumper was a real prick. Biden controlled himself considering the circumstances.

There is one thing I am 100% sure of and it is this. Americans will NEVER, EVER elect or trust Biden to be president. There is no way he will win. It is common knowledge now among all tribes that the man has lost it. His marbles are rattled. His time has come and gone. He is not all there. Say what you will about America and Americans. The will not elect a man who both parties (one sheepishly) admits is gone.

The only hope the Dems have is that someone steps in and declares Biden in need of "rest" from "the rigors of the strenuous campaign" and for the good of the country the DNC is inserting an alternate candidate. That could be anyone. Anyone BUT Biden.

You dont speak for Americans

Hahahahaha

I'm talking about the Joe Biden situation.

As you all know I am a conservative and from a political standpoint, Joe Biden being the democratic nominee for president is an absolute guarantee that a republican (presumably Donald Trump) will win the election in November. But what's going on right now with the democratic party is the most heartless and shameful thing I have ever seen. The situation concerning Joe Biden's mental decline is no joke and for me transcends partisan politics. For the last few months, when I see him interviewed I no longer see a political opponent or adversary, I see a human being who's not only in a desperate battle to stay focused on what's going on around him, but he's struggling to both formulate thoughts and communicate them... What sent me over the edge was that over the last few weeks during interviews, it's become clear that Biden knows he's losing the battle and knows he can no longer pretend that there's nothing wrong.

Have a heart democrats. Stop propping him up and pretending that there's nothing wrong with him. It's time to put politics aside and address this situation with compassion and human decency. I may not like Biden much, but neither him or his family deserve the level of embarrassment and publicly humiliation that they will inevitably have to deal with, unless the democrats step in, take control and do the right thing.

.

Still has more morals and brains than the current POTUS.

No he isn't...not now, at least. The OP is spot on. Biden is mentally falling apart.

Yeah and Trump has lost it already with his temper tantrums and unable to control his temper. You've lost and have no credibility.

You never responded to my posts. You seem to have little understandings of speech impediments. Biden's gaffes you mentioned have to do with his stutter, not old age.

If he picks a status quo moderate VP I still wouldn't mind. The problem is, I don't see him picking a moderate for VP. He needs to pick someone to get the radical left more excited to head to the poles.

Denial is a stinky cologne.

And Trump supporters bathe in it and drink it up like Koolaid. Thank you for admitting Trump supporters are delusional.

It is crazy that we did not have any testing capability available prior to March. Lack of preparation by the feds.

We are not likely to have adequate testing before a vaccine is available. The last I heard was an optimistic guesstimate that "we could soon see 4M tests per week". The word "soon" gets used quite a bit, yet is never well defined.

You would have to assume that NO infected person from China from November 19th to late January came to the United States UNTIL late January under your belief system. So, all of those hundreds of Thousands of Chinese from Wuhan who came here from November 19th just happened to NOT be infected with this NEW virus even though they live there?? The fact that the areas heavily populated with Asians in New York and New Jersey have infected regular Americans is of no importance?

No I would expect that we would have seen the first case show up in this country several weeks to a month after it came into the country given that severe cases account for almost 10% of the cases, but you have it happening in November because reasons I guess, meaning that thousands to hundred of thousands of cases would have been circulating before we caught even one.

I don't think he growth curve of the virus, given how infectious it is, seems to be supports such a view.

We are at most two months from wide anti-body testing, a vaccine might never get here, but the soonest would be Spring 2021. The big thing with a vaccine is that it is given to healthy people, so there needs to be a lot of testing, and we need to do the best we can to make sure that the vaccine will not kill people either soon or a few years down the line. At some point if humanity goes on long enough we are going to see a lot of people dying and find out that the reason is a vaccine that everyone has been getting for many years or decades, which is going to really suck. We need to do our best to prevent that.
