Why don't we see the Surgeon General at the press conferences?

I haven't seen Jerome Adams at any of these press conferences.

Why should Surgeon General Adams be spending a moment of his valuable time at any of these press conferences alongside the President? Unlike President Donald Trump, VP Mike Pence, Governor Andrew Cuomo, or any of the other elected Executive Federal or State leaders, the man is an actual medical and administrative professional and is doing critical work leading thousands of health care workers within the Commissioned Corps in emergency response. He does not have the luxury of time to showboat or grandstand like the elected politicians who have no core competencies other than standing around looking useful instead of working and being useful.

We don't see him because Trump's a racist that's why. Trump appointed him Surgeon General in full knowledge there would be a pandemic allowing him to not be invited to pressers.

See how simple that is?
 
Telling us what the actual current COVID-19 treatment plan actually is would not be advised. It appears to consist of help those no longer able to breathe on their own do so and hope that their (undisclosed?) added time alive allows them to recover (naturally?). I have yet to see anyone ask what the morality rate of those placed on these precious ventilators (which everyone is fighting over) is or how long that treatment lasts (on average), but I suspect that those "data points" are best left unsaid.
