Did Trump actually say this in his latest Coronavirus update?

I dd not watch, but someone told me Trump said that sporting events and restaraunts should reopen soon. Again, I did not hear this but the person told me Trump said that outside sporting events could be held as you can not catch Covid 19 outside and inside sporting events locatiions have air conditioning, so those also would be safe. As far as restaraunts, they have air conditioning so they also should be safe. If someone who actually listened to his coronavirus update could let me know if this was true or not.

You guys just get so riled up over everything Trump says. Yes, he said something similar to that but as usual lefties are blowing it way up out of proportion. Just as he said we should be back in business by Easter, he did say that he would like sports to start up as soon as possible and that the NFL season should start on time. The NFL season doesn't even start until September for libs that have no clue about sports. Just because Trump would "like" to see us get back to normal ASAP, that doesn't mean he has issued some kind of decree that it will happen by such and such date, screw what the health experts say. You guys really need to take something to calm you down. We'd all like to get back to normal as soon as possible.

During the briefing, he said the owner of a small restaurant of 36+/- seats. Don said he told him that with the 6' rule he could only seat 18+/-. Cry me a river, we're in a war Goddamn it, act like it. He refuses to take charge and continues to lead from the rear....

In the less affected areas, business might be able to open in another month to 6 weeks. Who knows? Keeping the economy shut down indefinitely is a recipe for disaster. Sweden has refused to go this route and they are surviving just fine.

Might be too late for you already- if the Republican Party does find an intelligent, honest, decent person to nominate you won't recognize him/her.

Swedes are smart enough and civic-minded enough to do right things without draconian measures being necessary. You probably won't find many Swedes saying it's just the Chinese Flu or car accidents kill more people. When a big chunk of the population deliberately downplays the gravity of the situation and declares their intention to defy safety measures you have to come down hard.

So you're saying that all Americans are stupid and need to be told what to do by the president? How does that work when we have the governor of New York and the mayor of New York City telling people to go on business as usual?

The only way that will EVER happen is if people STOP TUNING IN.
Over the air antenna reception can't send data, but cable and satellite boxes DO.
So if your cable or sat is tuned to a Trump briefing, that media outlet knows you're tuned to it, and that translates to RATINGS and RATINGS translates to MONEY.

A massive boycott of all Trump briefings in real time will almost immediately signal to the media that Americans do not want to watch the President.
And you will see the continual daily broadcasts cease very quickly.

I know this is too much to ask for, but I think even news outlets have to eventually consider a "for the welfare of the good" factor. News outlets are supposed to report the news, but they're also staffed by ****ing human beings, and Trump's disinformation is killing people.

You know, that is what is the problem with Trump followers. Some know that he is just babbling, but others believe and follow everthing he says. He told people when this began that it was a Dem attempt to hurt him and not to believe and people did. they went on with their lives as usual and now we are in a situation that will cost everyone in this country. He continues to try and minimize this situation. He is seeing it with rose colored glasses instead of with a clear vision of what we are up against and he is putting those same glasses on too many of his followers. There are still people even on this message board that are trying to make light of a very serious problem and a lot of the reason for that is trump and his mouth that often moves wothout his brain working. And he will continue to do so because the people who really know keep telling the rest of us not to get so hepped up about what he says. Those who do that are part of the problem.
