The Left Wins On Education

Did you have a point somewhere??????

And right wingers NEVER, EVER support public education.

If it were up to the talk radio right ,we’d be 200th. And they would still run stories in trash blogs about college professors who don’t reflect the no nothing line, and make students look stupid. Those are right wing hobby horses I’ve heard all my life (and they predate me). Stereotypes for people with comic book minds.

Yep, here it is again since you poo pooed it

Yep, they get the majority of our "Moderate" U.S. Population to go along

By the way, we're at best 17th in the world in Education

And right wingers NEVER, EVER support public education.

Can you blame them? I wouldn't support 17th in the world EDUCATION either

And what does that have to do with anything?

I mean, I still as an American can disagree with our vain education system right?

Do you think i'm "$bought$ or something?

Maybe you are part of why we are 17th?

Well, can you recite the whole 1,200 word "Give me liberty or give me death" speech?

Maybe it's you who are really apart of it?

If that's your measure of an educated person we seem to be confirming the cause of our ranking...

Is not EDUCATION the biggest $$$chunk of the pie$$$ in RED states as well?

Hey, I'm the minority here remember?(wink)

Do you know all the lyrics to " my lovely lady humps"?

Nope

I'm not the one into pop culture

When I got done reciting Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty or Give me death" speech in front of about 800 people, you could hear a pin drop. They were floored

Since you make a living off the education system, what have you been doing to improve your local secondary education?

Nope

Sometimes silence after a performance like that is not always a good thing..

You know what might be a better solution than blaming people would be to look at how the higher 16 countries are educating their children and maybe, just maybe look into using some of their ideas to improve our own system.

20 Best Education System in the World - Edsys

If course some would rather look at the 170+ countries that do worse than us and emulate them, but I doubt that would work.

First, these United American states are not just any country

There is agreement that other countries are far more discipline than ours

Psst.... The same thing happened after Patrick Henry gave his speech in front of the Virginia assembly(wink)

Well, you know the "rest is history"

Prove that Finland and the UK are more disciplined rather than having a different, more relevant educational setup. Finland is considered the best (in several of the reports I saw, although UK and even US topped a few), and one of the things lauded about their system was a smaller teacher to student ratio.

Heck, I wasn't even able to find the article that lists US as 17. One puts us at 20, and several others at 1 or 2.

There's not a Damn thing I can do

Nothing happens for the better politically in anything until we bring this country to a standstill(Reform)

Prove to me that they aren't.

Especially Finland

Add Singapore to that as well

Well research what happens to ya in Singapore when you act up(wink)

Yes do that and post it here.....or not.

I'll just dismiss your claim

You made the claim that they were all more disciplined than us, therefore it is for you to provide evidence to support that. Singapore and some of the other Asian countries, I won't dispute, but several of the highest countries on at least one list include Finland, Denmark, Canada, and the UK, all of which are claimed to be far more liberal than the US and certainly I have seen no claims that they are more disciplined. They do tend to have a better setup though for their school systems, including a better student to teacher ratio and programs that allow for career paths to be chosen prior to high school (and Germany does this right after elementary school) in order to better focus education on those needs, rather than forcing everyone to learn the same things, without any regard to their strengths, weaknesses, or future career goals.
