Teachers are getting paid even as the country’s largest districts shut down. Substitutes, not necessarily.

A shutdown - but not for government: how US federal employees provide vital services | US news | The Guardian

You know how 6.6 million Americans lost their jobs last week and have filed for unemployment? Are people who work for the government as likely to be affected in the exact same manner? I'm talking about people who work at government centers, public schools, universities, or any type of government organization. For example, is an elementary school teacher who has been working full time at a school for 15 years before it shut down in the same boat as a guy who works at a restaurant that shuts down? The guy who works at a restaurant that closes is likely simply on unemployment, with no opportunity to use sick pay or anything, simply out of a job with no guarantee the restaurant will ever open up again. Is the situation the same for people who work for the government? From what I'm reading online, this may not necessarily be the case with a lot of government workers.

One thing this brings to mind is that, with the exception of the military, studies have show that people who are paid by the government are more likely to Democrats. This could be one reason why some Democrats may be less afraid of an economic shutdown. Contrast this with a guy who recently mortgaged his home to finance a small business loan, then a couple months later as the business was taking off and he looked to be on his way to success, the government shuts his business down and completely bankrupts him and his family. Many Democrats would see this as the prevention of an evil, wealthy capitalist.

Some leftists who live off a government check are willing to shut down the evil capitalist economy for months while they still collect their government checks because they hope it can get Trump out of the White House sooner. Make no mistake about it, they have no qualms with it destroying people's lives and devastating the country.

Teachers get unemployment just like any other laid off worker. After they kill all rich repubs and eat their equally rich republican children..And then they have desert which had cream of Christ on top...

A small and chaotic universe it must be.

That's possible. It's also possible that "leftists" aren't conservative drones who believe the nonsense peddled by "rightists."

The party that denies climate science and evolution isn't going to be hospitable to good epidemiology.

The party that believes in science is.

Filled with utterly bizarre and unrecognizable "facts." Incoherent theories. Radical conspiracies. Alarming visions. Lots of emotion.

Very little intellect.

Pew Research: Republicans More Knowledgeable Than Democrats

Here are the results of a study that tested the likelihood of various demographic groups I regards to their likelihood of anti-scientific beliefs. Republicans were more likely to believe in Creationism and not believe in Global Warming. Democrats were more likely to believe in Fortune Tellers, ghosts, being in touch with the dead, astrology, reincarnation, and literally everything else on the list. The only other "sciences" conservatives are dismissive of are the social "sciences". This is because conservatives understand that the only legitimate fields of study are the hard physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, technology, as well as trades ad professions. Every other aspect of our educational system needs to be defunded.

Your response in defense of science makes be believe you were very disappointed in the 2016 Republican presidential candidates. Not one of them, including Trump, was willing to endorse the*theory of evolution.

Do you believe in the theory of evolution?

Says Trumpist whose position, if put into action, would get far more people killed for the sake of Trump's economic numbers.

You'll have to excuse me if I don't so much as wipe my rear with that immoral and idiotic post. Wouldn't want to insult it.
