People blaming Trump for the COVID-19 Crisis Reminds Me of Those Who Blame....

Jan of 1983 was the first case of heterosexually transmitted AIDS, just barely 2 yrs into the Reagan admin, not "well into his second term".

It wasn't publicly know then though.

Oh, now metaphors are to be taken as claims huh. Well, when its all you got, its all you got.

For what is it a "metaphor"?

Consider "allusion"..

In the fall of 1931, he was Führer of the resurgent National Socialist Party and was poised to launch his campaign for the presidency the following year, the one that would bring him to the brink of power. (He became Reichschancellor, his first political office, in 1933.) The gunshot death of a twenty-three-year-old woman in an apartment she shared with him might have derailed his rise—had the potentially explosive scandal not been defused.

Schumer talked with officials at the Health and Human Services advocating for more money. Too bad he did not have strong congressional support with which to approach fellow republicans in congress to do something more than just approach the Health Department for more spending. It always takes congress too long to get moving, especially when they are fighting among themselves and with the elected leaders of our nation.

He shouldn't be advocating spending millions to deal with the coronavirus pandemic while hes condemning Trump for banning Chinese travel to the US. Democrats always see more money for government to be the solution to all problems.

He fired the pandemic team. He fired the pandemic liaison to China. He refused congressional recommendations to declare a state of emergency in January. He spent Feb playing politics. Feb 28, he claimed concern was a hoax and "The fact that we won early. We won early."

This is on Trump. He is the hoax.

Every country in the world was caught off guard. Are you saying that the so-called pandemic team would have seen this coming? Not one single country did, but these dudes would've. Really?

Schumer and Buchanan were both calling on the Department of Health and Human Services to formally declare a public health emergency so they could respond quickly to contain the threat.

Secretary Azar declared a public emergency on January 31st..

Trump banned Chinese travel to the US on the 31st and Schumer labeled his policy as a continuation of the Presidents war on immigrants. What use is a declaration of a public emergency if your not going to ban Chinese travel to the US where the virus originated.

Yeah, Allusion is the proper term for sure.

Yeah, Allusion is the proper term for sure.

It's hard to believe Republicans want a Fuhrer. There was a time when they were better than that.

??? I said nothing about Republicans or Democrats, Congress has both. The point that escapes your grasp is that Congress makes the laws that set funding and focus of our preparedness to deal with pandemics. Im sure you've convinced yourself that our solution to dealing with pandemics only requires the replacement of Trump with Biden.

Nope you are totally wrong. I even said in my opening statement I don't blame the Nectarine Nero as the virus would be no matter what. I do blame him for delaying action. He knew how bad it was going to be, just look at all the congress people who sold stock (both sides). I would replace the narcissist scumbag with a kosher ham sandwich.

Congress recommended a state of emergency in Jan.

Trump declared a health emergency in January. And Congress recommended no such thing.

In fact as of today, 16 states have failed to curtail business as usual. THIS failure, by Trump to not institute a national shut down, .

Im not sure the President would even have such authority even if he wanted to.

I don't know anybody who thinks Trump created the corona virus, what's being criticized is that he spent the last 2 months telling us it wasn't a big deal, that we have it 100% under control, that the people telling you it's serious are democratic operatives trying to ruin him, that we should all de-quarantine ASAP and that it's no worse than the flu.

This was all precious time he could've been using to help America instead of ****ing it. It's like your knee-jerk reaction to science has been denial for so long you just couldn't take this one seriously.

Yesterday, Trump warned us that 100,000 to 200,000 Americans would die of the coronavirus.

Today, Trump told us Iran is about to attack us.:lamo:roll: This guy is something else. No wonder his supporters are embarrassed.

He warned Iran on Wednesday against using its proxy forces to attack American troops, vowing to retaliate by going “up the food chain,” a hint that the American military was considering a more direct strike on Iranian forces.

Trump strongly hinted on Wednesday that he was considering striking Iran if its proxy forces again attacked American troops and said his administration had “very good information” that Iran-backed militias were planning more assaults.

Really? Trump must be new at this. Iran's proxy forces in the Middle East have been striking at American troops since Trump destroyed the Iranian nuclear agreement (JCPOA) that permanently barred Iran from making a nuke and he imposed harsh economic sanctions on the country. Ordinarily, countries retaliate against such treatment, and Iran has, even shooting down a very expensive American aircraft in June of last year.

Is this all new to Trump? Or is he foolishly trying to change the subject from his bungling of the virus pandemic in January, February, and March. Only a week ago he said, "I give it two weeks." Trump said he wants the nation to be "opened up and just raring to go by Easter."

Today, during the coronavirus press conference, Trump trotted out the defense secretary, attorney general, and the National Security Advisor to talk about ... the war against drugs and his new wall on the southern border. There are times Trump can be a barrel of laughs. As the three tripped over themselves telling the television audience what a great leader Trump is, the transparency of Trump's motives was so obvious it was beyond stupidity.

The question is, how does he get the others to make complete fools of themselves in front of the American people?

During the question period, Trump interrupted nearly every reporter's questions. He did not allow them to finish. This is a sure sign of weakness and paranoia. He is scared to death of what they may ask.

Maybe we can get a Trump fan to explain all this to us, but I seriously doubt it. Trump's fans try very hard to avoid talking about Trump. They far prefer talking about Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden.

You don't think the President heard about it? He did comment.

There was apparently no general consensus from Congress for the president to close the borders or start emergency action for several weeks before the threat became more apparent as time passed.

Jan 26 the Senate Minority Leader recommended a state of emergency. Trump declined. The CDC recommended. Trump declined and attacked the bureaucrat. Trump then spent Feb pushing the Hunter investigation, campaigning, golfing and calling concern a hoax.

Trump politicized the virus. He bet big and he was wrong. He called an all-in with a weak pocket and got smoked. When the cards hit the table, he was dominated and it was never close. Stack to the virus. Now we gotta grind to flat.

Senate minority leader should have approached Trump with support from other lawmakers when suggesting Trump shut the borders and begin emergency preparations. But don't blame Schumer. He could not do everything then that he would have if he had known more than he did at the time.

No. The NPT treaty signed by Iran in 1970 permanently barred Iran from making a nuke. And Irans proxy forces in Iraq were constantly attaching US forces in Iraq since we last invaded Iraq.

Schuemer branded Trumps ban of Chinese travel as a continuation of his "war on immigrants".

No one said shut borders. Schumer and others said make money available just in case. Trump didn't wanna. Trump wanted to investigate Hunter, campaign and golf.

Chuck was right because that was all Trump did, and it failed.

Jan 26 the Senate Minority Leader recommended a state of emergency. Trump declined. .

We need new lies, not the same ones over and over again. Schuemer recommended a declaration of a "Health emergency" and one was declared Jan 31st and then Schuemer condemned Trump for banning Chinese travel to the US in response to the emergency.

Not for Wuhan. That travel restriction was at the recommendation of everyone at HHS.
