A Washington dentist has been charged with arson after allegedly torching his office—containing badly needed protective medical gear—with lighter fluid after receiving word he was being evicted for not paying rent, prosecutors said.

Mohammad “Matt” Rafie, 53, was charged on Thursday with first-degree arson in connection with a series of fires at his Bellevue, Washington dentist practice lit over two days last week, King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office told The Daily Beast.

Bellevue, Washington Dentist Charged With Arson After Torching Office and PPE

Pathetic. Truly disgraceful

The guy’s a true dumbass for setting fire to his office.

He would’ve been an even bigger dumbass to remove only the PPE stored there to sell/donate.

Another candidate for the Jeffrey Epstein special.

In all seriousness, I hope they throw the book at him.

First of all , who in their right mind would go to a dental office named "A to Z Dental" ?

It took him two days to burn down his office? A couple 14 year old boys could have done it in 30 minutes.

No wonder he wasn't able to make rent money.

What a loser.

Speaking of dentists, I sure don't want to be the poor guy who has an infected tooth, or someone that needs emergency medical care for a broken wrist. They're both out of luck.

Has anyone tried to contact a doctor in the last week? If you're lucky to reach their answering service, you'll get the same message. If it's an emergency, go to the hospital, otherwise there's no office visits being scheduled. My husband and I have two appointments coming up in April with cardiologists. We got the call that there will be no office appointment. We had to download Zoom on my android phone and we will get our office visit that way, nothing else. Of course an EKG or blood pressure monitoring won't be possible, but that's going to be the only way to contact any of our doctors, they're all out and busy with this situation in the hospitals.

Auction the masks on ebay to pay for breaking the lease. Right?
