How Trump might try and become permanent dictator of the United States

I was responding to code1211's (#620) questioning my belief that Don has been, "...trying to make a better life for himself first and his millionaire friends..."

And I responded with ...so?"

They followed the constitutional procedures. Your personal disapproval doesn't make it a coup. Sometimes the government doesn't do exactly what you want, learning that is part of growing up.

In that case everyone should be supporting the U.S. Senate actions in acquitting President Trump.

Do you?

Yes they followed the procedures except they had no evidence whatsoever. Traitors.

People that pay the taxes should be the ones gaining the benefits of tax cuts?

How is this not justice?

Taxes are collective effort.

when you pay taxes, the benefits do not go for on a "who should get what" basis, but they go for on a "greater good and advancement of a civilized society" basis.

Those who pay more in taxes benefit by living in a more civilized society that takes care of the needy, and those who are not able to pay taxes, being on the lower end of the society, benefit by being allowed to keep more disposable income or otherwise being helped by programs.

That is social justice.

Moreover, your statement is a tautology ....( or maybe not, but it's illogical because.....)

if you are getting huge tax break, you are not the one paying taxes, are you.

of course you are.

If you paid one million dollars in taxes and got a tax break of 200,000 dollars, then you still paid 800,000 in taxes.

The proper procedure is to convict or acquit based on the evidence.

This was not followed, he was acquitted because of spineless republican senators fear of mean tweets, bullying, name calling, tit for tat-ism, by the president on anyone does not support him.

Any claim of otherwise is a complete denial of reality and the facts.

Evidence was presented at the Trump impeachment trial. Just because the Senate did not make the choices you preferred in no way makes the Senate trial illegitimate.

What are you talking about? "Support" is not part of the discussion here. I haven't claimed the Senate's acquittal is part of some sinister takeover of the country.

Oh look, yet another right winger who thinks people should be executed for voting in a way Trump doesn't want.

Fascist.

Says the guy supporting the overturning of a lawful election. It doesn't get more fascist than that. It's hilarious to see dems call others fascists as they run around the streets pulling elderly people out of their cars because they have a trump bumper sticker or take a maga hat off a teens head then throw a drink in his face. Me a fascist...lol. You on the other hand.......Sieg Heil!
