There is no other explanation for the Democrats trying to use this pandemic to cram through items on their liberal wish list. Their list can easily be done when they win the presidency and the Senate and hold onto the House come November. Unless they think otherwise, in which case they apparently feel they can use this pandemic to their political advantage, knowing they aren't going to be able to get any of these if Trump wins.

Or it's because Republicans are using this crisis to shower corporations and the wealthy with money while ****ing the average, hardworking American, as they always do. Have you actually listened to the reasons Senate Democrats give for opposing the bill in its current form? Everyone agrees some kind of stimulus is necessary, but in what form and who it should be targeted to help is the disagreement.

The slush fund is purely so that they can shore up the businesses of their wealthy donors, that’s it, that’s all it’s for.

**** the poor, save the rich.

The usual Republican way of doing things and the worst part of all, is troglodytes who are not the wealthiest people in the world, the ones being excluded and screwed by such a plan, still support it.

****ing madness.

Does that mean that Republicans must believe Trump will lose re-election since they're using this pandemic to cram through their Corporate Cash Giveaway? Their emboldening of the Corporate State could easily be done when Trump is re-elected and they make gains in Congress.

lol

In which the fake "moderate" tells stupid lies to attack the left, again.

Did the average American worker cause this virus? Did you listen to any of the reasons Senate Democrats gave for opposing the bill in its current form? Trickle down doesn't work, this has been proven. Handing corporations large sacks of cash with no strings attached in the hopes they might pass it on to normal Americans does not work.

The average Americans are looking at a nice fat check between $2,000-$4,000, they are getting months of time off medical leave, and a bunch of other goodies.

Trickle up has also been proven not to work. Remember the war on poverty? Has it ever worked, ever?

I think it's just the Trump Party repugs campaigning to get him reelected by doing favors for the fat cats so their votes are guaranteed. Trump has kept his eye on the prize, reelection, since his last campaign....which never ended. He'll use whatever circumstance he can, with the help of his lackeys, to help him win in November. They are all lying scum that don't give a damn about anyone but themselves.

I thought this had already taken place with the the impeachment and the whole Russian thing according to guys like you?

Trump minimizes the severity and dangers of exposing people to this virus, he's ignoring scientific and intellectual data and endangering everyone in this country. He needs to be voted out. There is only one way to stop this and it's to be by being communal and staying inside as much as possible and away from other people.

Except they did, and i don't buy into the deflection away from it. Moscow Mitch tried to punch through his Corporate Welfare during a time of crisis. Tried to get votes before negotiations were completed to turn this into political kabuki theater and spin some propaganda. It's falling apart, though. And while the Trumpeteers try their 3-D's of argument and spin, many folk don't seem to be buying it.

Ummmmmmm, I just got a postcard in the mail today from the CDC, which spells out "President Trump's Coronavirus guidelines for America", encouraging people to follow CDC guidelines.

About $500 billion in direct payments to people, in two waves of checks of up to $1,200 per individual making up to $75,000 a year. Additional payments for families with children could push the total to $3,000 for a family of four, according to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, who has played a key role in the negotiations.

- Some $350 billion in loans to small businesses, according to Republican Senator Marco Rubio, chairman of the Senate Small Business Committee.

- Up to $500 billion in "liquidity assistance" for distressed industries. That figure would include $58 billion for airlines, Republicans say. Last week, Republicans proposed $150 billion for other industries, but Democrats say the Republican request grew over the weekend. Democratic Senator Chris Coons said on Monday he wanted to see an accountability board installed to oversee the "up-to-$500 billion" fund.

- At least $75 billion for hospitals. Republicans say they have agreed to that amount. Hospitals sought $100 billion, and Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer has been pushing for a "Marshall Plan" for them.

- Some $250 billion for expanding unemployment insurance. Republicans say they agreed to that in response to Democratic demands.

- Over $10 billion for drug development, and $4 billion for masks, gloves, gowns and ventilators, Republican Senator Steve Daines said.

so much for the lying left and their slush fund bull****. not that they care about facts.

One could easily make the same argument about the other side and their Slush Fund which will be controlled by Mnuchin and Trump.

Trump: "I will be the oversight."

No no no, that's ok because....something. That slush fund wasn't a Corporate Slush fund that could be extended at directive of Trump and CO and bypass regulations against stock buybacks and such. Nope, nothing to see here. Just the lying left.

lol

Trickle up has also been proven not to work. Remember the war on poverty? Has it ever worked, ever?

Actually, even with its flaws and shortcomings, it had a positive impact.

But what about the undeniable fact that poverty rates remain high? The official federal poverty measure is outdated, because it does not include income boosts from food stamps and tax credits. A recent study using an improved poverty measure found that, in fact, U.S. poverty declined by 26 percentage points from 1960 to 2010 – with most of the reductions in poverty registered before 1980 when anti-poverty efforts were getting increased federal funding.

If it has had such a positive impact, then why do the left keep up their nonstop narrative? If a person loses 500 $20 bills which blow away in the wind, would you say it was a positive that he was able to run down five or six of them?

What a weird and pointless analogy...
