once again democrats prove how much they hate working americans and those that employ us.

all of the democrats voted against the bill. go figure. this keeps thousands of dollars out of working peoples hands of who could use the boost.

if you are a working person there is 0 reason to ever vote for a democrat. they think your hard earned money is someone else's or they want it for themselves.

they are too busy playing politics than helping working people.

they want a whole slew of things that they failed to pass or was in another bill or they want crap that has nothing to do with the bill.

hurt americans to get rid of trump is their motto and it is disgusting.

If McConnel can't successfully pass his bill through the Senate, then he'll have to take-up the successfully passed House bill.

Besides, funding bills generally start in the House anyway. I have no idea why McConnell is playing games here. It's clear he can't pass his proposed bill. Let him work with the current bill he has, and get it out.

Revenue bills, Constitutionally, must begin in the House. This was just McConnell playing games to make the Democrats look bad.

This may come as a surprise to you, but McConnell cannot pass the bill without Democrats on board. If it passes the Senate, he needs Pelosi to support it or it won't become law. McConnell is pretending that he can ram this through because it's a crisis, and he's mistaken.

And the big problem is a $500 billion corporate slush fund that's under the near complete control of Mnuchin and Trump, they disburse it to their friends and allies, and don't even have to DISCLOSE who got the money for months. That's not for working Americans, and McConnell and Mnuchin rejected conditions placed on bailed out teat sucking companies that required them TO protect their workers. They suck off the taxpayer teat and then lay off half their workers, for example, and when it's over use taxpayer money to pay out bonuses or buy back stocks.

Obamacare started in the senate and dems didn't care then. In fact no republicans voted for that damn bill, because it was so partisan. By the way when this virus eventually goes away, Trump needs to get back at getting rid of Obamacare entirely. Get rid of the whole damn thing once and for all.

I'm no fan of ObamaCare. But there would have to be a replacement. I like the public option idea.

I think the replacement is to just to let people die and/or go bankrupt from medical bills.

From what I have heard it was due to one section of the bill that gave a 500 billion dollar fund for the president to decide where the money went without oversight by the congress. I would not vote for such a bill either if that is the truth, would you?

It will get passed this week, count on it

Not trying to be sarcastic but isn't ACA a form of public option?

The mcconnell/trump corporate whorefare bill doesn’t do jack or **** for the hard-working American, the common. It sure as hell doesn’t do anything for small businesses.

trump is laughing his ass off at the ****ing idiots who voted for him as he gives himself a corporate whorefare bailout for his hotels. But heh, he’s not taking his presidential salary.

It certainly looks like the democrats led by Nancy Pelosi are more interested in getting Trump out of the office in the White House and don't care how they hurt America in the process. Their claim that he is dangerous to American workers is crazy. He and Republicans will pass a bill to put paychecks in the hands of working people, save their homes, keep businesses afloat, save companies that provide millions of jobs and keep the country running. Problem is the democrats want political power more than anything. Wake up democrats.

I hope they do, but they are so brainwashed by their politicians, they can't think straight.

Not really. I'm speaking of a full-on option, like we offer seniors the option to register for medicare, or the poor have the option of medicaid.

Why? What’s your message to the millions who will then be uninsured?

he doesn't have to take up any bill. he can start again with another bill completely.
The only one playing games is democrats by sinking a bill that would put thousands of dollars.

the typical 4 person family would have received about 3,400 dollars.
i think there are a few families out there that needed that money.

the current bill is a the typical leftist pile of **** that does nothing for working people like me.

Revenue bills, Constitutionally, must begin in the House. This was just McConnell playing games to make the Democrats look bad.

democrats were looking bad anyway. he made them look worse by sinking a bill that would give actual working people something.
so far from democrats working people are getting nothing. which is typical. working people usually get nothing from democrats.

This is looking to be more the case. They want power they don't care who loses for them to gain power and they will start blaming trump. even though they are the ones failing to pass bills.

for their being alive. They hate employer's that employee us that allow us to do that as well.

First off it helps to know what you are talking about. You never know what you are talking about and usually 100% have it wrong.
There wasn't a 500 billion slush fund.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2020/03/22/treasury-coronavirus-senate-corporate-loan/
Senate Republicans’ legislation now calls for a $500 billion program that would award loans to states and cities as well as businesses
Of that money, $50 billion would go to passenger airlines, $8 billion to cargo airlines, $17 billion for companies deemed important to national security, and $425 billion for businesses, cities and states.

So as we can all see your 500 billion slush fund comment is incorrect as always.
Not only that it is a loan which means it has to be paid back to the government.

Something that you guys supported in 2007 when the federal government was bailing out banks and buying stock with it.

of course you leave out the major portion of the bill that is for workers. and yes even that part is for workers because well they are employed
by the people getting loans. which means they stay employed instead of being laid off.

The average family of 4 would have received 3,400 dollars from this bill which is good for a lot of them.

Once again it was easily proven that everything you said was 100% wrong.

Republicans felt they had compromised with the Dems by supporting provisions in the bill that help people and hospitals treating sick people. This is an example of how far right-wing they have gone.

Anyone who thinks that Trump won't use this money as a slush fund to reward his allies and punish his opponents is either terribly naive or willfully blind.

Of course, many of his supporters will argue that he should do just that, that it is his "right." And argue that his opponents should support him in this by allocating the money to him!

This is how low the GOP has taken politics in this country
