Keep dreaming. You need a carbon dating machine to determine the average age of Florida voters. Bernie's hipster great-grandpa routine isn't flying there.

Considering Hispanics were Bernie's strength in Nevada and Texas (where he was close to winning), Florida would naturally be one of the most likely states for him to win if he had not praised Fidel Castro and doubled down on it. The article got his party wrong too. He always called himself a Democratic socialist and everyone who has been paying attention knows that is not the same thing as a socialist. The only reason for any Hispanics to hate him is the Castro comments. Florida has no state income tax. They live here because of its proximity to the Caribbean, especially Cuba.

Florida's in the South. It's what Southerners do. Vote for the worst candidate.
I feel so much better now since I've completely given up all hope.

Hispanics make up 17% of the Florida electorate, and a great many are not Cubans and half of Cubans in Florida voted for Trump . Even if they could vote twice that still would not account for a 44 point lead in the state by Biden.

Which makes Sanders' strategy even more bizarre.

Old people vote. Young people don't.

But this is about Florida and its Hispanic population. The article goes on to report the generational divide exists among Hispanics as well. Sanders supporters don't seem to accept the political risk of "socialism." Likely because they are growing up in a world quite different than during the Cold War.

I read about Michigan voters prioritizing electibility over ideology. I read about who Bernie Sanders needs to vote in November to beat Donald Trump. I read about Joe Biden rapidly getting big endorsements as a candidate who can unite the party. So I voted for Joe Biden. But any other year, I would have voted for Bernie Sanders.

So Joe Biden is worse than Tulsi Gabbard? She is still running.
