Any suggestion on who that would be?

It doesn't matter who, in terms of having a large impact on the election, any more than the forgettable Kaine mattered for Hillary. It might matter more for trump, if he replaces Pence with Haley and she excited his base.

Tony Evers, the democratic governor of Wisconsin.

VPs do zero for you. The exception is the one and only thing they can do is to give you their state.

Wisconsin is a swing state that might go for Trump, but Evers would change that.

I don't know why people say the VP will be another presidential candidate, that's really rare in history.

Biden has been trying to coax Michelle Obama into being his running mate for some time now. If he can manage that then the election is in the bag.

I'd probably advise choosing someone young, competent, and popular from a crucial swing state to take it off the board.

I wouldn't mind Kamala Harris. Stacey Abrams is a name that sometimes comes up and she wouldn't be bad either.

Tulsi Gabbard?

The lowest rated Democrat? Nah.

Why does Michelle Obama's name keep getting brought up?

Dynamite if it happened.

Because Biden keeps publicly saying that he wants Michelle Obama to be his running mate.

Unprompted? In other words, without being asked in a town hall if he thinks Michelle Obama would be a good running mate?

I ask because I know for a fact that Michell Obama would rather have a hole in her head than be in politics (at least for the immediately foreseeable future).

I disagree, if not for Sarah, in 2008, McCain would have done much worse. She energized a large number to support McCain when they otherwise wouldn't have. McCain and Romney were awful nominees, there was zero energy for either in the conservative ranks. Ultimately, it didn't matter either way, and frankly, it actually worked out better for the GOP in the long run. Now we have a blueprint in what kind of leaders the GOP should be looking for, the electorate wants fighters, men and women who punch back, and even bring the fight. Trump showed us this.

won't matter. In no presidential election has the VP nominee ever made a difference.

The VP has historically been chosen as an olive branch to the segment of a political party that has thus far failed to be brought on board.

While Bernie would technically be such a pick, that's even more unlikely to happen than Michelle Obama agreeing to be his running mate. Hell, it's more likely he'd ask me to be his running mate.

Sarah Palin crushed any chance McCain had of being elected.

Barack isn't letting his wife, hell, SHE's not standing behind creepy senile Joe, not gunna happen.

Needs to be a woman. Take your pick after that. Just pick the one that makes the most sense. Could be Harris, could be Amy, could be Warren. Could be any number of woman in politics. Its not like they are in short supply in the Dem party.

Not among conservatives republicans and independents. She was a rock star, a true conservative unlike McCain. Granted the MSM killed her, but that's when they held all the power. 12 years later, the internet has taken their power away.

Please cite that. I know he likes her but I don't buy it.

and that's certainly not Mooschelle...

Oh really? I think Palin sunk McCaine's chances. As soon as she opened her mouth people thought oh **** I won't want her anywhere near the presidency if the president should die.

I think it will be a woman but don't know who.

If I had to take a wild guess I'd say Klobuchar.
