Should all employees of the Executive branch be totally loyal to the president?

wtf would he fire him for that? we already know the possibilities of coronavirus becoming a pandemic.

or wait, maybe only those who watch a REAL news channel do.. have CNN and msnbc NOT been reporting on this?

So why did he fire one of his appointees for telling Congress?

There is no one with any credibility who will work for this Administration.

LOL!!

Actually, people who YOU consider "credible" are the ones who would love to work for the Trump administration...so they can stab him in the back. Those are the very people Trump is getting rid of.

So why did he fire one of his appointees for telling Congress?

my thinking is someone is either wrong or lying about WHY he fired him.

TC on fox has been warning about possible pandemic for 2 or 3 WEEKS on his show and THAT he thinks the chinese infected/died numbers are ****, i.e. lower than real.

He fired his own appointee for telling congress something he was required to do. Trump's reason, it could hurt the stock market and thus his chances for reelection. I would think that alerting the country to a possible pandemic was more important to the country than Trump's reelection, but apparently Trumpsters do not.

Who did he fire for telling congress something he was required to do

So Trump fired a man he had appointed for telling the congress about the coronavirus as he is required to do by his position. Trump's reasoning, he should not tell anyonne the seriousness of the virus as it might hurt the stock market and thus Trump's reelection chances. I guess you think telling us the truth about what might be a serious situation is being a piece of never trump? There is nothing blinder than a Trumpster.
You asked a moronic question. I answered it. Not sure how you got from my answer to your next moronic response to my answer...but you managed to pull it off anyway.

After 3 years leaks, constant lawsuits like never seen before, people working against his administration, and fake claim after fake claim, you are angry because he is removing the people who won't work with his administration?

I missed the part about how this is different than every other president who has been in office.

Could you provide a link supporting any of these assertions?

I am asking you why did trump fire one of his appointees.

and I am telling you there is no way I could answer that, NOT being the president, but that LOGICALLY, it doesn't make much sense to FIRE someone for stating something that the possibility of, is common knowledge.

Trump can't even hold on to the people he hires. The constant turnover spells chaos and incompetence.

It doesn't matter who works for him. Trump said "I alone" will run the executive branch and that's what he's doing. He needs people to do two things:

  • Ignore his corruption
  • Take the fall when he's caught.

They should be loyal to the president as far as the president is loyal to the country and law, no further.

Normally they overlap. With trump, they don't.

they should be loyal to the office unless he does something illegal, and follow his agenda. IF they find they cannot do that due to their beliefs , they should resign. if they actively work against his agenda in a covert fashion, they are ripe to be fired and rightfully so.

Donating to Democrats is not 'working against his agenda in a covert fashion'. Neither is following the law and serving the country by being a whistleblower, testifying when asked by Congress, etc.

You're kidding me, right?

You mean like the constant filing and dismissals of the Emoluments claims
These anonymous after anonymous WH insider claims to the media
John Boltons book that nobody has read
Trump is staging a war against Iran
Trump is knowingly trying to get rich from the G7 meetings
People claiming they talked to Trump insiders making claims of Trump bribing Zelensky

If you need links to the hundreds of top news stories over the last 3 years from anonymous WH insiders claiming (X), you shouldn't be on a political debate site.

And if the agenda of the president involves unethical policy’s, unethical behavior, and runs counter to the best interests of the country, what obligation is there for government employees to enact such a agenda?

I am asking you why did trump fire one of his appointees.

You are right, I was wrong, he fired his appoointee at the DNI for telling congress that the Russians were at it again pushing for a Trump reelection, not the coronavirus. He also fired his second in command and placed a new appointee in the positions. Sorry about that. Trump has fired so many people that I sometimes get confused about what he is firing them for.

Deficits and incompetence = Trump Administration.

if its illegal the blow the whistle... otherwise unethical is not for them to decide. if they think unethical without being illegal, resign. that is a BELIEF i was speaking of.

Sounds to me like that college guy has a lot of common sense...and he appears to be very capable.

Haha of course and let’s look at who this guy will be under. The same guy fired for gambling problems, who couldn’t get a top secret clearance. See the trend?

I love how you guys always jump to the ridiculous up front. You just make these assumptions on your own and they become facts the moment you state them.

That must be very convenient for you. Its a true sign of entitlement. Don't get your way, these people must be (X).

Every president replaces previous administration heads and staff. Except when Trump does it, it becomes national news and everyone he hires can only be loyal to him over country.

I'm not aware of any previous presidents wanting government folks to sign NDAs and loyalty pledges do you?

Right now the Trump people are purging everyone in the executive branch not totally loyal to the president. They expect that their people put Trump ahead of country. If they see something wrong they are not to report it and to do so is seen as being a "rat". I know Trumpsters will say this is not so, but just look what is happening and tell me without lying that what I have written is wrong. So the purges begin until there are only those totally loyal to this president left no matter what harm it does to our nation and it will do harm. I read Trumpsters on the board saying that he is cleaning out the so called "Deep State". TO Trumpsters the deep state is anyone who is not totally loyal to Trump above country.

Yes....

You can't possibly be serious. Is this another acknowledgement that you actually don't know anything about American governance?

Explain to us how any other president didn't surround himself with loyalists. We'll wait.

yawn...

So what?

Loyal in what sense? Surely not fully. They have a duty to their country to refuse to obey an illegal/unconstitutional order.

Does that mean they should undermine efforts to ban guns? Refuse to enforce the bumpstock ban?
