Live Thread for the SC Democratic Presidential Debate

Bernie, you're not going to get more people to turn out.

Obama got a huge turnout because black people wanted to vote for a black man.

Young people are going to do what they always have done, stay home and play video games on election day.

I think Klobuchar is right, she could bring in the left and a lot of the middle who are tired of Trump. These middle of the roaders are not going to vote for Bernie.

They're better voters than you.

Bernie looks awful tonight. The first he's actually been challenged in the race so far. He has literally no idea how to talk outside of his talking points.

He can't, bad case of Bernie derangement syndrome.

Tell us of Bernie’s legislative accomplishments in 30 years in DC. Slanders’s Sycophants have DDS.

One number that stood out for me was the jobs losses of about 1.7 million, and we'd deal with that through....worker training, early retirements.... YIKES!! And of course that's zeroing out, more or less, more than a couple of $100 billion+ companies.

It's the antithesis of a union: a monopsony buyer of labor designed to drive down the costs (i.e., wages and quantity) of labor. The politics of applying that hammer to the largest employer in countless Congressional districts are mind-boggling.

Bernie's already bringing out more voters, and he will continue to.

Hey Democrats, the 80s called, and they want their foreign policy back!

He's getting attacked for the first time.

He could do worse than bring her in as veep, should he prevail.

Hey Democrats, the 80s called, and they want their foreign policy back!

It's the Bernie enemies and moderators bringing it up.

Awesome moment from Steyer.

LOL Bernie keeps bringing up literacy programs like it makes up for the authoritarian governments that implemented them. It's easy to get to 100% literacy if you just shoot all the illiterate citizens. :lamo

The truth is Castro's "literacy" programs were indoctrination programs. They got to be able to read to read your propaganda.

Good rant by Steyer re: "Trump against U.S. Intel"

Bad idea. VP's should be aligned with the policies; the reason they might not be is basically political whore care only about the votes.

And awesome moment from Sanders on Israel and Palestine.

He's getting attacked for the first time.

LOL. And why has a trump cultist posted 400 times in the Democratic debate thread with disinformation basically every post?

49 USC §§20901, 21311 & 49 CFR §225.9 make it a federal crime not to report a train wreck.

She's the only one on the stage that - though I, as a conservative, disagree with sharply - like, and think, might actually like me.
