OK, folks, what is in the works for tonight? Will the candidates continue to carpet-bomb Bloomberg? Will Bloomberg fight back and be less of a disaster than last time? Will the candidates realize that Bloomberg is not the existencial threat, but Sanders is, and will then carpet-bomb Sanders instead?

Will Biden continue to be not as bad as before, or was his decent performance in Las Vegas just some weird anti-dementia property of the Nevada desert air?

Will Buttigieg appear as a bit more viable than exclusively in heavily white states? He did do decently in Nevada, but South Carolina may prove more daunting, so he would have to actually improve beyond petty and mean fights with Klobuchar.

Will Klobuchar do any better than being the second most disastrous one in Nevada? In the past she had good debates; not lately, and she's been polling in single digit numbers for a while.

Will Warren repeat her stellar performance of last week? In any case, it may be too little too late, since she has clearly lost the progressive lane to Sanders and has no path to the nomination.

Will Sanders survive pretty much unscathed like last week, or will he take some hits? If he does, will he fight back strongly?

In half an hour, we'll learn the answers to the above questions. Enjoy!

If none of the other candidates try to go after Sanders, they're basically screwing themselves over.

Biden needs a strong showing here, followed by a strong showing in SC. If he doesn't, he's done.

Warren needs a really strong performance to have any shot at staying in the race, but her campaign is already nearly dead. I doubt she stays in long after SC.

Buttigieg needs a good showing to keep pace with Sanders. If he wants to supplement Biden as the "moderate" he needs to show it here.

Klobuchar can try all she wants, I doubt she'll have much success.

Sanders just needs to avoid gaffes and traps. His momentum is already good, even if he doesn't win SC he's still in the lead.

My prediction is that they all try to jump Sanders. If any of them seriously want to win they need to knock Bernie down. I'm not sure if the red scare material will be enough, but I'm sure someone has dug up something else at this point. Biden needs to win SC so he needs to have a solid performance. I expect Bloomberg to be better prepared but Warren just has his number. I don't see Amy or Pete going anywhere but down from here on so I don't really care about their performances.

I agree with everything you've said.

I am sorry, but Bernie Sanders needs to show he is not a one trick pony.

I'm supporting Comrade BS. He's the prefect leftist candidate.

1) He's full on commie.
2) He's pervy, just like the left likes them.
3) He was 40 when he actually landed his first job.

What's to hate?

I think Bloomberg steady growth based on his ads and his money scared everybody and they thought they had to stop him, but in doing so they neglected to try to stop Sanders who ran away with it, and had a spectacular performance in Nevada which places him as the clear front runner, so tonight I expect that people will turn from Bloomberg to him, and will try their best to bring him down.

It must happen because if Bernie wins SC and Super Tuesday then it's effectively over for everybody else including Bloomberg.

And he'll beat Trump in November.

I think Bernie was more of a one trick pony in 2016. Now he is proposing an array of plans. For example, he is proposing a $10B investment in low cost housing. He is proposing infrastructure investment. He added home health care and child care to his plans. He is talking about a more comprehensive immigration reform. And so on and so forth. It's no longer "down with wall street, free health care and free college for all."

Yup Sanders is going down. The party is moving against Sanders. I see more movement going behind Bloomberg. I think Amy or Warren is done after tonight. I also expect someone to go after Pete too. Looking to see if Biden can come out of a coma.

Both Bloomberg and Sanders have said "interesting things about women" in the past. Bloomberg got his out of the way last week. Let's see how Bernie handles his.

Why the bloody hell would the Democratic Party back Bloomberg, a man whose political spending helped Republicans keep the senate?

Warren’s campaign raised 21 million dollars this month and I think she is still in this thing through Super Tuesday.

Bloomberg was introduced to democrats for the first time last debate. He didn't get anything out of the way. It will be interesting to see how Bernie responds to questions about the article he wrote, but I assume he will give the same answer he did in '16 when he basically said it was a bad attempt at satire. I expect the commie stuff will be be lobbed at him more than anything tonight.

I expect a few questions about Some of the toxic behavior displayed by a vocal minority of Sanders online supporters

That a given though. The red scare stuff amps up tonight.

It would frankly be absurd to go after Sanders for the behaviour of a minority of his supporters, just as it would be to go after any other candidate for the same (Sanders isn't even close to having a monopoly on toxic supporters as even a fairly quick perusal of Twitter would demonstrate).

OK first question. I never thought that the Dem candidates should be trying to convince people that the economy is not good. They should acknowledge that it is decent but say they can do better.

Warren doesn't seem as combative as last week. But he did insert a jab at Bernie. "They trashed me."

I think Sanders gave a good answer; everything he cited happens to be clear facts detailing the ugliness lying beneath the nominal surface numbers.

Buttigieg scored a point with the Bernie vs. Trump line.
