Awful new details about Trump’s purge should alarm us all

Government officials do not need to be personally loyal to a country’s leader in order to uphold their oath to the constitution.

We as a country cast aside the cronyism of the spoils system with the Pendleton act. Trump is trying to reinstate cronyism

You voted for Trump the first time because you loved his ugliness and that is also why you will vote for him again a second time. You are just one of those posters who thinks its credible to claim to have voted for someone else, or to have "voted for Obama twice", or some-such. It's like when a DP conservative changes their lean to "independent" and suddenly they're all well people have to respect my pro-Trump statements now because I am "independent". That proves I don't have partisan bias.

Instead of claims about yourself, people tend to look at how you post. And how has that been? Constant maliciousness towards anything you think is "on the left," repetition of a fake victim narrative you use to justify that maliciousness*, and a constant pro-right/pro-Trump message.

You aren't holding your nose. You're happily voting a second time for Trump and you're doing it specifically because you want to be able to tell yourself that you made liberals feel bad.

Interesting that one of those interviewed referred to it as a "purge". Sort of reminds me of Trump calling asylum seekers "caravans".

Also interesting, I did not see anywhere in the piece where Obama replaced officers with hack, nobody, idiot baboons that did not know the front end of a rifle from the rear end as DonDon is currently doing in IC and other parts of government.

Cool. Never held my nose when voting for DJT. He's done the nation good. Oh, he's a dick, don't get me wrong, but I didn't vote for him to be nice and take it in the ass like the last guy did.

So far, manys an unwilling persons have been placed in important positions whose number one priority was to undermine the president, giving zero ****s about what effect it might have on the country. Those personel weren't serving the country, they were serving themselves.
 
Cleaning out swamp creatures, Obama/Bush moles and other seditionists is exactly what Trump needs to continue doing. This isn't simply about people with different ideas. It's about people committed to undermining the current administration and they need to go as quickly as possible.

A reasonable person would be able to see the tens of qualified persons who couldn’t take him anymore, they put country over the Presidents wants and needs to have constantly publicly kiss his ass. It is embarrassing and for you to pretend that didn’t happen is sad.

Then they should quit and go home. It isn't their job to undermine the president. No where does The Constitution give them authority.

This sounds like one of those sweeping generalizations that is all but meaningless, save for its self-righteous fury.
 
This is what authoritarians do. Their one requirement for the job is personal loyalty to the leader. Hitler used loyalty oathes. The problem, beside it being incredibly unethical (because, really, we all know, Trump wants people who will ignore his corruption) is that syncofants usually aren't very good at their actual jobs. The authoritarian replaces competence with loyalty, and nothing good can come from that.

When you look at the high turnover at the cabinet level positions and all the "acting" chiefs he has, it appears that he is so unhinged, he doesn't even trust the people that he himself has hired. Or they simply gave up on trying to do a good job and became repelled by his corruption, his incompetence or his demand for personally loyalty.
 
He can fire whomever he wants.

I think everyone should know by now that he's like a New York City mafia boss who just doesn't kill people.

I have been following all the responses to your post. And they still don't get it. Amazing.

I used to vote across party lines prior to Trump. I even voted for Obama.

I will NEVER vote for another Democrat for anything after Trumps election. I am convinced Trump will win in 2020. I just hope the country takes the house away from them as well.

Way way to many children in that party to get anything accomplished.
