Trump Predicted Coronavirus "Will Be Over By April." But Now Wants $1B More for CDC

I guess you just conveniently forgot Trump 10% budget cuts to the CDC proposes an additional $140 million to support a new plan to end U.S. HIV transmission by 2030. It also calls for an additional $53 million to address the opioid and related disease epidemic, nearly $50 million more for global health security and $10 million more for modernizing flu vaccines.

Sounds more like he is adjusting federal funding to accommodate existing problems where the money is needed. It wasn't like he shut the CDC down.

And on top of which he just approved and additional 1 billion to the CDC? And this makes you angry huh. Or were you just trying to make up another hit piece on Trump.

That's fair. But he cut in the first place, which wasn't smart. There's reasons why we have these additional safe-guards in our systems. It's in order to be prepared for an emergency. Now, it looks like the emergency is here.

The CDC requested additional funding in the new budget to address the coronavirus problem and Dirtbag not only ignored that but took $430M out of the institute for infectious diseases even as the news about Covid-19 was becoming exponentially more serious by the day.

Yeah, Its not like budgets get trimmed for other programs at all. Especially programs of immediate need. But you can ALWAYS depend on the hysteria of the loony left to make up something to get their panties in a wad.
