Trump is going to cheat. An article worth reading.

It's funny you are anticipating a Democratic loss, especially since most everyone was anticipating a Trump loss in 2016 and he won. I wonder what excuses the Republicans will come up with if they lose i 2020. Its also funny how things have a way to come around 360 degrees and the ones on the likely winning side are saying the exact same things than the people on the other side were saying in 2016. It is irony, for sure.

But, of course, you’re fine with your side doing whatever it is you’ll criticize the right for.

Because it depicts the knowledge of someone that knows Trump and how his mind works. Even if it is biased, it is based on knowledge and knowledge is always worth reading.

Or are you telling me that my posts are not worth reading. I am biased against Trump but I always try to show how my bias is supported.

Yeah, must be why a self-admitted salesman diagnosed the psychiatric health of our president. Support that! :giggling:

Ironic that the left, which practically invented election cheating (dead folks are reliable Democratic voters) is now election are now worried that the other side might be doing this time. Near-panic on the left and we've still got eight months to go. Gonna be fun to watch

It's more funner to watch now.
They're already melting down with desperation. :lamo

Great, anther rant... the article does not even hint all that much above how he will cheat. Just a hit piece, that is all this OP article is.

It's all your side has. Scary, ain't it?

"Trump is going to cheat" is an article written by The Atlantic that is worth reading.

Its apparently too long a read for our conservative friends struggling to get past the byline. Is there a television program about it they could watch?

In your own words, why is a biased, liberally slanted opinion piece authored by a former Obama speechwriter worth reading? :coffeepap

This response is logical fallacy known as an ad hominem.

Yes it is, but then this is never fun to watch.
At least you didn't bog this post down with your supercilious pontifications.

Since it's obvious and incontrovertible that Trump will cheat (assuming that he hasn't cheated already) the only thing left for Democrats to do is cheat first and cheat better. If I were advising the Democrats I'd tell them that this whole "primary" process is turning out to be nothing more than Democrats vetting their own candidates in the public eye for Trump's benefit. The only sane thing for Democrats to do is simply appoint their chosen, focus group vetted, candidate candidate on October 15th. That will stop Trump and the Russians dead in their tracks! If they have no idea who they will have to run against then they can't plan and the Democrats can put their entire focus of a brief "shock and awe" campaign.

I'm always impressed that your side's solution to the problem of corruption is to call for more of it.

You're confused again.
Let's review: I asked the O/P a legitimate question. Where's the ad hom fallacy?

No, I am not fine with it but then again, there is nothing I can do about what other people say and do.

Great article. Thanks for sharing.

"His pathological lying has been well documented and yet never ceases to stun. By*one count, he has told more than 15,000 lies since taking office. A small sampling: After falsely declaring that Hurricane Dorian was headed toward Alabama, he displayed a doctored map to cover his tracks, and his chief of staff made the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration*release*a statement defending his lie. Trump also recently claimed that he rescued health coverage for people with preexisting conditions—even though he has gutted the Affordable Care Act and is*suing*to overturn it. One day after tweeting, “We will not be touching your Social Security or Medicare in Fiscal 2021 Budget,” his budget revealed cuts to both."

I am surprised. For once, you are actually right in what you say. My knowledge and experience in life does give me the ability to diagnose the psychiatric health of our president. Isn't that (obtaining knowledge) they way people accomplish things in life? You don't do that? All your criticism is done without any knowledge of anything? Your opinion, which you have many, were not accomplished by your experiences in life?

If that is the case, why should anyone ever listen to anything you have to say?

This post of yours (and all the rest you have posted) supports and confirms what I say. You didn't know that?

It's advice for winning the election.

Sarada Peri, Former senior speechwriter for President Barack Obama

'Nuff said

I know, right? Lock that bitch up and make sure she never publishes another word.

calling someone a "former Obama Speechwriter" is an ad hominem?

Maybe someone should alert the author because that's how she describes herself.

I don't pretend to be a medical doctor like yourself diagnosing the psychiatric health of the president. I have to wonder why you feel qualified to do this, dx. the president's mental health.
Hope that answers your question.

Leftists don't have a candidate worth a crap, so obviously DJT is cheating.

:2rofll:

OMG did you see the meltdown on Cable last night over Sanders winning NV followed by a number of written articles today depicting massive down ballot losses if Sanders is at the top of the ticket?

Hit pieces on Trump have never stopped but the last couple of weeks they clearly have ratcheted up.

She has a right to her biases. I'm just wondering why the O/P would use an obvious Trump hit piece to make his points.

No, but there are caricatures of it.

It's advice for winning the election.

Oh yeah? If you count the author's lies, I suppose you're right.
I read at least two lies from her second paragraph. (bolded)

Factually, Trump’s position is rather weak. A stronger candidate would be flying higher, given the economic recovery that began (and yielded greater success) under President Barack Obama’s watch. While Trump remains an untouchable, vengeful god within the Republican Party and is competitive in crucial battleground states, he is relentlessly divisive. He must win back the suburban voters who handed the House of Representatives to Democrats in 2018—an especially difficult task now that he’s released an Achilles’ heel of a budget that would cut Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, food stamps, and a host of other popular programs.

"a president who has no moral or legal compass?"

That's not biased at all! Is it?!

Nope, not biased at all.

I know those are the values and principles an overwhelming number of Evangelical Christians support, but most people find that type of behavior deplorable, and would say it belongs to a group of people with no moral compass.

How is it a hit piece? Simply being critical of Trump does not mean something is not credible. The author presented an argument. You might not agree with her conclusion, but she presented a lucid point of view and offered a call to action. She did what a good editorial writer does even if you think she's dead wrong.
