Because cheating is fine to them. So they're mailing out fake census forms - having failed to get a 'citizenship' question added to reduce responses - to create confusion and reduce responses.

Is this all that MSNBC has?

Just the claim of what is being done, weighted against what is actually being done. I mean it's not like we've haven't gotten tired of MSNBC's lies about this kind of crap already, so should I really even look into this any further.

I mean we're seeing the DNC literally cheat in their bid to get Bloomberg on the ticket and doing much of the same that they did in 2016 to screw over Bernie. But no, it's apparently the republicans that are "cheating" this time around.

Spare me.

I'm not surprised, but I do appreciate the detail. If I'm not too late, I hope you will ignore the slobber post above me.

Gee I wonder why it says "Commissioned by the Republican Party," and also talks about getting out grassroots support for Donald Trump, if they are trying to "pretend" it is a US Census?

Meanwhile, synonyms for "census" include: enumeration, poll, demographics, demography, statistics, population tally.

Does it say anywhere one is required to respond? Does it say anywhere U.S. Census?

So, who do you think is being "fooled?" :unsure13:

Thanks, I don't read that poster, so no slobber.

As usual, you don't understand. Why do you think it looks so exactly like the Census form? Oh, you have no idea.

Here's a reason: it trains people to throw away and ignore mail that looks like it - now, what could that possible be? It's deceptive, period. Which you like, and so you make pathetic excuses for it.

What's the beef? The RNC for the last 10 years has sent out a mailer like that to districts all over the country, and now it's a problem?

Just look at the questions and it's clear that it's a political opinion questionnaire designed for republican voters. Never mind the fact that it clearly states it's commissioned by the republican party and in the very first sentence says it's "a key facet in our overall strategy to ensure president Trump and republican candidates are reelected".

It even comes with a cover letter that makes it clear exactly what it is.

RNC_cover.jpg

If I understand you all correctly, you're saying that democrat voters who might receive this are too stupid to understand what it says and who sent it, and it will confuse them? If they're too stupid and confused to understand that, then how will they understand the US Census form when they receive it?

This is just more BS leftist outrage... That's all the anti-Trumpers do 24/7 is come up with **** they can bitch about and it's just plain sad.

I think they've tried crying about this once before in 2018, but I'm drawing a blank on what exactly it was.

This shows no wrongdoing on the republican party's part.

Question: Where on this form does it say U.S. Census?

I gather you haven’t got one of these forms.

Seriously, what planet do you live on? Enlighten us as to what is “actually being done.” If this happened as MSNBC reported, then if you have any sense of civic duty, you should object. If it didn’t happen, then you can critique their reporting, as would I. If FOX picks up the story, would that be ok with you?

The republican party sends out these forms every year and have been doing so for over a decade, yet now, with no literal change in the forms structure. News organizations are picking up this story for some stupid reason, and mainly choosing to misrepresent it as best that they can.

Tell me Nickyjo, Where on these forms does it say U.S. Census?

And yes, I have gotten these forms before.

Gee, I wonder why it says “Congressional District Census.”

Good for the Republicans! I approve of this tactic, especially since the Dimocrats are undermining our process by their open border and sanctuary city and state policies.

ILLEGAL aliens should not be included in the numbers of people who are counted to determine congressional districts any more than you should count foreign diplomats or tourists inside the country as "people" who are part of the nation. Illegal aliens are NOT stateless people, they are subject to the jurisdiction of THEIR OWN NATIONS so don't count them.

As a person who lives in a blue state I and everyone I know provide an under count of the people in our homes and have done so for years. I do it to offset the illegals here stealing our democratic process.

Doesn’t matter. The suspicion is justified given voter suppression attempts over the past 10 years by the GOP. The GOP apparently thinks it has some advantage when it suppresses turnout. Why do you think the voter fraud snipe hunt was created?

Brilliant. Lie to the government to disenfranchise yourself to screw the liberals. Can't make this **** up.

In the Army it's calling in an airstrike/fire mission on or near your own position aka: "danger close"--- which would generally be about 600 meters from your own position.

I don't consider it being disenfranchised to deny the democrats more congressional power in the blue state which I live in. The reason is because: our position has been overrun by hostiles, so go ahead and light up the entire area--- why not?

Because it's irrational to work against one's self interest, but I can tell you don't think your behavior is irrational.

I've heard claims of voter suppression, though when it comes down to it. It's the same thing that the democrats do, but they're just now starting to bang their drums when the republicans purge inactive, or dead voters from registries.

I got tired of this shtick when I was still a democrat.

Are you trying to deny that it happened or are you just mad that it is being reported? Blame the lesbian for telling the truth on the GOP tactics.

I blame the people who keep trying to spread this same lie, even though we can blatantly see that what's happening. Is actually not what MSNBC is trying to sell us at this point.

This screwed them over last time, as much as I believe it's going to do it this time. Because they're just going to keep bleeding viewers if they can't actually be trusted with any of this.

What lie are you referring to because it looks a lot like a census and can mislead many people if they aren't very careful. What is the goal of the GOP in sending this out if it isn't to undermine the federal census?

MSNBC are trying to sell this as something that it's not, and so long as you can read at a fifth grade level it's not going to even remotely appear as such.

Which says far more about the people who work at MSNBC now that I think about it.

The point being is that the GOP can only be accused of sending out the exact same thing that the democrats send out every year.

It's called "Fruging" and both parties have been doing this sly trick for decades. But so long as you're not some idiot who just blindly signs a form, or does what the letter ask. You'll see this kind of thing come by from time to time.

You argument is a TuToque fallacy because you are trying to claim that it is acceptable because the other side does it too.

BTW, I'm not aware of democrats or liberals doing this.
