5) he has the public's best intentions in mind

Christ on a crutch, do people actually believe this nonsense? Bernie, like everyone, is out for himself first. If you deny self-interest, you're gonna have a bad time.

Everyone on earth has some self interest (human nature) but I can guarantee you that Bernie has less than most and certainly less by a mile than Trump.

Compared to Trump, Bernie is Mother Teresa.

Bernie Sanders beats Donald Trump.

Bernie's voting bloc is more passionate, and harder working than any other base in Modern American history. Americans want to not die from treatable medical conditions in the future, and the future is now, old man.
Buddy, you're not fooling anyone. Your own party and the media have already conceded if Bernie gets the nomination.

You won't get a single additional vote. It'll be the same 30% you have now, except - and now I have to do math, which is impossible for Bernie and his followers - 30% in the DNC is only 15% of the total electorate.

You'll get Warren's voters and some of the "kill Trump" types, but that's it. Minorities won't vote for Bernie. Anyone who's paid off a student loan won't vote for Bernie. Anyone who likes their current health plan won't vote for Bernie. Anyone who doesn't like Cuba and Venezuela will vote for Bernie.

Trump will win a minimum of 60% of the popular vote. He'll take all the states he won before, plus Arizona, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Colorado, and maybe even Virginia. Illinois might even be in play.

Those who put their faith in political leaders are bound to be disappointed. If you put your faith in the America’s people you will certainly be disappointed by some of them but you will be guaranteed to be uplifted by most of them.

You are totally wrong.

You forget that Bernie was favored to win over Trump in 2016 by an average of 13% whereas Hillary was only leading by 5%. Bernie is exactly the same as he was in 2016 (his campaign and support has not changed) and Trump has been horrible in everything except the economy and Bernie supporters don't care about the economy, meaning that Bernie is still favored over Trump, not the other way around.

Here are the poll numbers from 2016 of Bernie vs Trump.

RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - General Election: Trump vs. Sanders

You honestly believe that garbage? Then why are CNN and MSNBC already conceding the election if Bernie gets it?

He is a fringe candidate benefitting from a large field and a college campus movement. Those people will eventually grow up and never admit to actually listening to this garbage.

This is not Cuba.

If Bernie prevails, he could do worse than Veep Buttigieg or bring him in somehow. He's good!

A guy who ran a small city... and then couldn’t win... ahhh... no.

Would be a suicidal move by Sanders... because PB will not win Midwest votes and The chances of Sanders croaking while in office are too great... and that means leaving the presidency to someone less qualified than Obama.

That's something else that has Democrats scared to death.

Who could possibly be a viable VP for Bernie's ticket? Nobody currently running except Warren, and they hate each other.

So who? Nobody makes sense.

Ocasio-Cortez? Tlaib? The dead body of Hugo Chavez?

Bloomberg isn't elegant or inspiring, and despite his being rational & sensible in his defense - he's taking some heavy hits.

Think of how he would get stomped and pulverized into the ground in a debate against Trump? You might hate Trump, but he’s quick, he’s fulfilled promises, and he doesn’t come across as robotic or canned.

Gloomy Bloomy was the Democrats last best hope.

Put a fork in this election. It’s over.

Sanders and Warren are too passionate in my opinion going the wrong way. I think James Carvelle is right on the fact that these two ideologies are out of step with most Americans.

Biden scoring some points now. He can only go up from here as long as he makes good arguments. Biden needs to stop the bleeding in his campaign... we'll see.

I think Bernie and Lizzy are speaking to a different America which isn't even well founded within the democratic party.

It’s over for Joe.

It is a combination of Impeachment exposing his family as corrupt... and senility.

Faith in God and what is good in people needs to be a basic of every person in order for they themselves to be good people.

This does not mean "blind" faith but it does mean that you have to give each person the "benefit of the doubt" until they prove themselves not deserving.

You have to believe that good will defeat evil in the long run, meaning you have to give good the first chance to prove itself.

This is not Cuba.

You are entitled to your opinion and your opinion is shared by many but that does not mean you and the rest with the same opinion are right.

Let me remind you that each of the countries that had bad socialism (Cuba, Venezuela, Russia, etc) were run by Dictators. None had checks and balances, none has majority rules, and none had a Congress that was there to put limits on the executive office.

This all means that even if Bernie wins, we will not become what those countries are. It is as simple as that and if you don't see it, it is because you choose not to. It is plain to see as reading.

Amy is nice and cute but she is a lightweight.

she is neither of those things - ask her staff - but she is a lightweight. mayor Pete almost made her cry

Sore loser Stacey Abrams desperately craves the VP nomination.

This is a great debate, though. This is what they need. For each other as individuals, and as a group.

Didn’t Thin Lizzy recently complain about the party going after each other... then she pulled out an AR-15 on Bloomy.

See below: Only 9-days before the debate... can you say... massive hypocrite? ROTFLOL...

Attacks are OK now when she’s out of the picture... I thought I heard her say on a hot mic... “let’s burn this bitch down”...
Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren fretted on Tuesday night as her campaign appeared headed for another disappointment in the New Hampshire primary, saying that things are becoming too bitter between the Democratic candidates and that it could “burn down” the party.

“The question for us Democrats is whether it will be a long, bitter, rehash of the same old divides in our party or whether we can find another way,” Warren continued.

“But the fight between factions in our party has taken a sharp turn in recent weeks with ads mocking other candidates and with supporters of some candidates shouting curses at other Democratic candidates,” Warren continued. “These harsh tactics might work, if you are willing to burn down the rest of the party to be the last man standing.”

Not really.

She called out Pete for inexperience, so it's fair game.

exactly. Pete exposed the "quality" of her experience ... and almost brought her to tears in the process. made her look small and weak. she is toast

Man, Trump had Bloomberg's number. He called it when he said Bloomberg wouldn't be able to compete with professional politicians:

https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1227946304057364481

You are saying that Trump is a successful politician and surrounded by successful politicians he listens to? If that is what you are saying, it is crazy.

Trump bankrupted 6 companies and failed with 7 others. Bloomberg has had nothing but successful businesses. Bloomberg is worth at least 12 times more than Trump. Bloomberg was mayor of a major city for 12 years and knows how to run a government. Trump never ran or was in charge of a city and for the 3 years he has been president, has failed miserable to run the nation administratively.

It's extremely rare that I would agree with you but this time I regretfully have to agree. I didn't like the way Warren came out of the gate like a wild horse that's been in a barn all winter. She went on the attack immediately and almost viciously. I don't approve of anything that happened in the debate and came away throwing Pete Buttigieg, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren on the trash heap. The only three left that I'd consider are Klobuchar, Biden and Bloomberg. Elizabeth Warren's poll numbers were abysmal and her strategy to attack Mike Bloomberg worked to get her numbers up. It was all nothing but a display of ugliness in my opinion.

I mean, I do not like nor trust Bloomberg. But it is true that he is far more successful in business and comes into the game with more political experience than Trump.

Bloomberg, "that's it, I'm running third party. Say hello to four more years of Trump."

actually, running third party is the way bloomberg could assure the democrats a victory

republicans embarrassed and tired of tRump's stupidity would have a second republican option

Politics is ugly, to expect otherwise is naive thinking.

I don’t fault Warren for coming out swinging; the MSM has deliberately been trying not to cover her candidacy, as though she did not even exist. She needed to make a statement that she is still in this thing and I think she did so convincingly. She tore apart Bloomberg and his candidacy suffered a mauling

But as Bloomberg said, “What a wonderful country we live in. The best known socialist in the country happens to be a millionaire with three houses.”

A "millionaire with three houses" who, for the first fifty or so years of his life, lived on the most meager wages.
Sanders only became wealthy enough to own a decent home when he finally got to the Senate.
In fact, when he first was elected to Congress in 1991, his 89 thousand dollar a year salary caught him priced out of most Washington DC real estate. I know, I grew up there.

Bloomberg's wisecrack reminds me of folks who sneer at rock stars who finally make some good money, because they forget that rich rock star lived on ramen and hot dogs for the first twenty years of their career, or wealthy authors who hit it big, like Chuck Bukowski who never managed to hang onto a place to live for more than two months at a time until he was suddenly "discovered" at nearly age sixty.

And oh, by the way, a lot of legislators in Mike "Manchurian" Bloomberg's REAL party (the GOP) pretend to live frugal lives by "hot bunking" at
"family fellowship" crash pads, not revealing that powerful lobbyists are paying the bill for them.

So not only was it a cheap shot, when it comes from a billionaire all it proves is that Bloomberg is an IDIOT for believing that democratic socialism doesn't want anyone to be wealthy. Nonsense...but ghastly excess is ghastly excess.

There were plenty of filthy rich people walking around in the New Deal era.
There are plenty of filthy rich people in Denmark, Sweden, France, Norway, Finland, Germany, etc.

Basically Mike Bloomberg tried using a Trump tactic which only works with Trump voters.

I don’t mind that she pulled the AR-15... but she’s a phony. One minute (barely a week earlier) she’s complaining about exactly what she did last night.

Your side doesn’t have a candidate that can win. I was actually hoping Bloomy would win... as I hate to see the D party nominate a Communist, but... Bloomy was awful, and he had ample time to come up with responses to known attacks.
