No, I did not.....the point was, and I have to EXPLAIN this cuz you did not for yourself, the industry in the US was dead. If D's wanted to nationalize the industry, it was the perfect opportunity to do so. It did not happen, instead, they were revived.

So, go ahead and show me all the things Trump has done for Putin. No doubt you have an extensive list. Was selling lethal military hardware to Ukraine on it? After the Crimea invasion, Russia requested anti-tank weapons from Obama and he refused. Was he doing Putin's bidding? How about telling Medvedev that he'd have "more flexibility" after the election. Was that doing Putin's bidding? (Since the invasion of Crimea happened after this, it seems like the two could be connected). How about saying there was a red line in Syria and then doing nothing? How about the big, plastic reset button? How about only requesting $5B for the European Defense Initiative while Trump has requested $17B? How about Trump greatly increasing the defense budget while Obama cut it by 25% from 2010 to 2016? Was that doing Putin's bidding?

You shouldn't make claims that can be so easily debunked.

Strongly disagreed. For over 30 years the Republicans have become increasingly authoritarian. When I joined the Republican party they didn't care what people did behind their closed doors. Now they've become homophobic Theocrats. When I joined the Republican party, they'd never suggest "wanding" a woman as punishment for wanting an abortion. Face it; the Republicans are as authoritarian as the Democrats now. Both want to dictate to Americans what to think, how to live and what to believe. If a Civil War ever starts, I suggest letting both of those two shoot it out then We, the People should round up the survivors and banish them to Antarctica.

Trump is a wannabe dictator but he's also a complete dumbass. The good news our Founders were wise in how they set up government and there are still a lot of good Americans serving the United States.

I said the current crop wants to do it. They are not Obama and 2020 is not 2008. The only fantasy is thinking that Bernie and crew don't want to nationalize whatever they can get their hands on.

Utter nonsense. Is anyone being kept from doing whatever it is they want to do behind their closed doors? Giving a voice to the defenseless unborn is hardly an assault on women. I'm sure probably more than half of the aborted are female. What type of assault is that?

Oh, and the idea that Goldwater would have supported the left's current abortion position is rather absurd. He opposed any calls for abolishing it. That is not the same as favoring unfettered abortion.
