According to the news source, White told parishioners, “Instead of writing [that check] to the house of God as I’m instructed to, then what I’m saying spiritually is, ‘FPL (Florida Power and Light), I have now established a spiritual law that put you first.’ So, FPL, save my family, FPL, deliver my drug addicted son. FPL, kill this cancer that doctors say is in my body.”

The idea that your family will not be "saved" (spared from from drug addiction and cancer?) unless you write a check to the "house of God" is pure nonsense.

I have no love for (tele)evangelical ministers and offer no defense or understanding or attempt at understanding her comments, with or without context.

I DO however find it fascinating that for 8 years, none on the left found the need to **** themselves over Obama's relationship with Jeremiah Wright, or Joel Hunter (or his son), or TD Jakes, or any of Obama's other 'spiritual advisors'. Its almost like this stuff only matter to leftists when the other side does something similar. that seems...weird...

The claim here is that religious persons associated with a president reflect poorly on that president.

If it's true in the OP instance, it's true of Obama as well.

Or it is true in neither instance.
