She has never had the remotest bit of a political career outside of Georgia and couldn't even be elected governor there. She has nothing in her background or her accomplishments that would suggest any qualifications for the executive branch.

Yet supposedly she is on the short list of possible Vice Presidential choices for several of the contenders for the Democratic nomination.

Why?

Those things matter to Democrats.

I know but for both of these why not Harris? She fills both and she is at least a Senator from a major if not the major state. Not to mention being a great deal more attractive than Abrams.

Harris = A complete nightmare

Even the Democrats figured this out.

She's LESS likable than Hillary.

LESS.

it's funny isn't it? one day Rs are talking about how Presidential candidates are old and white. the next, potential VPs female and black.

it's kind of more weird than funny though.

Of course it is so they can win in the south, but that said, I find her pleasant. Very upbeat and optimistic. Washington could use someone like that. Wouldn't want her to be POTUS anytime soon though

Whatever she's doing, it's clearly enough to irritate the cons!

If you wouldn't want her to be president any time soon, then what business does she have being vice president?

I don't recall saying she should be.

Nothing. She's absolutely within shouting distance of "average".

Nasty unqualified people who rise to the top because they have the "right" genetics do annoy.

Re the thread topic the fact that she is fat and is a "right thinking" southerner helps her too.

Abrams is no better or worse than any of the other Democrat candidate. Which is the problem the Democrats face.

It seems at least to me that Abrams losing the governors race in Georgia is one of the primary reasons that Democrats want to offer her the VP nomination now.

The idea being "well she was cheated (supposedly, questionably) out of becoming governor, so the least we can do is put her on our national ticket".

I hate that kind of entitlement mentality.

"We are going to honor and celebrate this one victim instead of doing what is best for the country" is so modern.

The Left is basically a Victim Culture Cult now. ...Fanatics of the DIE Religion (Diversity/Inclusion/Equity) that the Failed Universities now indoctrinate their customers with.

Stacey Abrams is an appealing choice to someone like Mike Bloomberg that has a problem with the black American vote. 1-she is a black woman. Its OK...we can say it. 2-She is intelligent...she is articulate...she is capable. Dont much like her politics but anyone that denies her qualities is a fool. 3-Whether you agree or not she is the face of a 'cause'...black voter oppression and suppression. 4-People mention Harris...you dont need a Californian on the ticket...California is already rabidly solidly democrat.

She is a Yale graduate, she is a tax lawyer, she has experience helping write budgets, she isnt inexperienced in mixing it up in goivernment...if I was a democrat candidate, she would be on my short list. No question.

Republicans are talking about Democrats hosting old white millionaire candidates when they preach about how much they hate them.

I guess you forgot that part.

I think Abrams must have been promoted to next in line after Avenatti became unavailable.

She had her mind molded at Yale Law......the people who run America love Yale Law Products.

I had never heard of her.
And reading the name, I thought it was a "he!" :)

No, he is a black man that knows nothing about housing and urban development

And that makes him relevant to this thread...how?
