Barr taps network of prosecutors to review Russia-Ukraine cases | Fox News

Attorney General Bill Barr has tapped a growing number of federal prosecutors across the country to review high-profile Russia probes involving Trump associates and consider emerging allegations tied to Ukraine, in a bold but risky move that comes as he faces mounting criticism and even resignation calls from congressional Democrats who allege he's protecting the president

Barr appears to be determined to settle the issue of the dual justice system. For that, I applaud. The big problem is everything takes so damn long, the players will all be dead and gone.

It seems to me a single prosecutor should be able to screen a single dependents case in a couple of months.

I guess since the IG investigation turned up no criminal wrong doing, and the grand jury into McCabe turned up empty, and the Durham investigation isn't working out, they are just going to start some new ones?

Republicans are ****ting all over the constitution and our justice system. They should be embarrassed. Absolutely disgusting.

Change the letter next to the name and the volume at which you would scream "witch hunt" would put that which you used for Mueller to shame.

I suppose Team Trump has no reason to care that all of it's revenge investigations keep fizzling out into nothing. As with Benghazi, they know the base will act like any accusation aimed at a Dem is true and will come up with some excuse or other when the investigation fizzles. Just like, even as juries convict people on Team Trump or they plead guilty, the base insists they're innocent.

Full-on truther mode.

Nothing more needs to be said. It's obvious.

The reason for this is that Barr can't trust the people he has in DC. Too many die-hard Trump haters. Heck, some of them will even sacrifice their careers if it'll get Trump.

Absolutely horse ****. First off, the investigation into McCabe that was cancelled was only on the charge he leaked some classified information to the media. There are many other things he'll answer for. Second the DOJ investigation had limited scope and pointed out several issues that require investigations.

Someone might be miffed Huber couldn't lock up Kween Killary over Uranium One etc.
So many strike outs.

If they keep trying and trying and trying, eventually they will get something.
Look at how many times and ways they've investigated Clinton.
At some point, they will eventually catch the roadrunner.

Kinda like the prosecutorial malfeasance of the Mueller investigation, right?

Barr needs to go NOW and Trump needs to go in November. This is now absurd and anybody that does not think so probably already has a Putin Fan Club membership card.

Agreed. Your post is “absolutely horse ****”.

Regarding McCabe, it’s over. Move on.

It should be painfully obvious to anybody with a brain that this is Ukraine II. Trumpkin just wants continued, endless announcements of Investigations in progress. The same thing he was looking for from Ukraine and of course Barr complies. Trump could give a rats behind if they find anything. But if they find the corner of a bed sheet out of place, Trump will use his disinformation apparatus to play that up as the greatest injustice and the greatest conspiracy of all time.

Wake up folks. Trump and Barr are only able to fool the truly gullible. The rest of the supporters of this Trumpian nonsense must be truly unscrupulous.

fake revenge investigations. yee haw

Is that before or after you lock Hillary up?

Try to post something honest for once and admit that every last one of Trumpist investigations into targets on the left failed spectacularly. Sessions could have convened a grand jury the moment he was AG to try to indict Hillary. What happened?

:fart

That's all. But a good Trumpist doesn't let reality bother them. So you treat the announcement of an investigation as proof of guilt, then conveniently "forget" (or make up idiotic excuses) when it inevitably fails. Meanwhile, in reality:

PolitiFact | Many more criminal indictments under Trump, Reagan and Nixon than under Obama, Clinton and Carter

Mueller indictments: everyone charged in the Russia investigation - Vox

The most-indicted/most-convicted administration ever. Congratulations, you've made swamps seem clean.

So Barr is as paranoid as you are?

Yes he is sending the cases outside the swampy beltway for review. Good move.

The issue is not who is conducting these "inquiries", investigations, reviews whatever! Its that they are being conducted IT ALL. This nonsense has got to stop. Its only happening at this point to feed Trumpkins disinformation apparatus. Anybody that really thinks Prosecutors will even know what they are looking at needs his head examined. Sort of hard to carry out an actual meaningful "review" when you don't even know what you are looking at.

Ironic that you accuse me of being dishonest in the same post you accuse me of calling for Hilary's lock up.

Indeed. A very good move by Barr. Not Barr's first rodeo.

From my view Trump better not piss him off so much that he walks.
That would be a loss, a loss to the nation, and a loss in the efforts to clean out the politicized swamp that the DOJ / FBI has become under Obama.

I agree.
For some reason ordinary people who have no real power, including the people here should want fair and even handed persecutions. Period. And I don’t see the risk to anyone here beyond their talking points, and if an investigation was found to me more political than criminal why do you defend it? I’ll tell you why: it’s a mountain you can’t climb down from.

What a load of horse manure. The swamp has gotten deeper and invested with more snakes since Trump has been there than at any other time and Barr is one of the biggest, fattest snakes of them all. Nobody but nobody, not even Tricky Dick and his AG Mitchell have used the DOJ the way Trump/Barr are using it.

So basically, its horse**** because you are really stamping your feet and pouting that you want some more investigations.

You have my sincere sympathies.
