Trump eliminates funding for program honoring Ambassador Stevens, who was killed in Benghazi

The Trump administration has zeroed out of the State Department budget a request from a nonprofit entity set up in honor of J. Christopher Stevens, the U.S. ambassador killed in Benghazi, Libya, in 2012 terrorist attacks.

The agency’s fiscal 2021 budget proposal cuts $420 million from its educational and cultural programs, including $5 million for the Stevens Initiative, an organization created to memorialize the late ambassador’s dedication to cultivating international exchanges.

This appears to be at least the third time that dedicated funding for the program has been removed by Trump’s budget officials. For the past two years, Congress has restored it.

I guess the tap dance isn't needed anymore. How many of those who cried out about those killed in Benghazi will now argue against Trump's latest move?
 
Christopher Stevens was a useful tool for the Republican party to try and destroy Hillary Clinton with. That was all he ever was to them.

First, Trump isn't a Republican. He's for Trump and only Trump.

Second, Trump is a thin-skinned narcissistic attention whore. He hates anyone who gets more attention than himself. Would anyone really be surprised if he cut funding to the Lincoln and JFK memorials?

Lastly, Benghazi was important, but, IMO, the Republicans were more interested in attacking the most likely 2016 Democratic candidate for President than the lame-duck President. I'm certain those on the Intelligence committees knew exactly what was going on in Benghazi that night.

Patricia Smith did not ask for memorials or charity. She simply asked Hillary Clinton to stop lying and tell her the truth about what happened in Benghazi that resulted in the death of her son. The Obama administration went to great lengths to silence the eyewitnesses, to cover up the facts, and to dismiss public suspicions without evidence or investigation.

I want to make sure I understand the leftist logic at play here. You didn't give a **** that Hillary Clinton let the man die. You didnt give a **** that the Obama administration lied about the attack, you didnt give a **** about the cover up about the lie, you GLEEFULLY cheered the efforts by Clinton and her cronies to block the investigation into the attack...but now want to pretend to give a **** because funds are cut to a non profit memorial?

I want to make sure I understand the Deplorable logic at play here. They lied and said Hillary Clinton let the man die. They tried to say the Obama administration lied about the attack. They invented a cover-up which could never be proven and turned out to be a lie. They GLEEFULLY cheered the efforts Gowdy and the other carnival barkers trying to railroad Clinton, holding her responsible for the attack when it was Right Wingers in Congress who cut security funding. And, now the Right wants to pretend that cutting funding for the dead man's memorial doesn't matter?

Hillary Clinton DID let the man die. The Obama administration DID use an orchestrated lie to try to cover the cause of the attack. The Obama administration DID cover it up (to this day no one can say who authored the lie that was used by the administration). As to the rest...you are just proving my point. The Obama administration absolutely lied and stonewalled an investigation and you and people like you cheered their efforts. To this day the questions regarding the lead-up to the attack and the coverup remain unanswered...and you think thats swell.

You have no account, just your bitter angry screeching that you thought was an attack but merely proved my point.

You cant answer ANY of the questions asked in the investigations because they were never answered. You cant answer who fabricate the ridiculous orchestrated lies the Obama administration used about the youtube video even after it was well known it was a terrorist attack or why they continued to perpetuate a lie for weeks. You know less than dick about the attack and you dont want to know. All you want to know is that the rat administration was able to avoid responsibility for it because after all...



It wasnt a protest. And it wasnt some guys out for a walk. It was a planned orchestrated attack...one she KNEW was coming and did nothing to prevent.
