Trump is restructuring the entire U.S. Justice Dept for the benefit of Roger Stone, his friend of 30 years. He has used the power of William Barr to accomplish it. The fallout of this interference resulted in four experienced, non-partisan prosecutors walking away from the case. If Trump gets his way, it will mean that one of our most impartial and non-partisan federal agencies is now nothing other than an arm of the president. The justice dept will be lacking 4 more people serving this country out of patriotism and integrity. Trump denied that his action could be considered political interference.

Starting with some of Trump's statements to the press yesterday. "This is a horrible and unfair situation. A miscarriage of justice. Roger Stone was treated very badly."

Then this tweet:

Fact check:

Roger Stone is a convicted felon, convicted at trial by a jury of 13 of his peers on 3 counts of lying to Congress, witness tampering and obstruction of justice.

Fact check:

There's no evidence whatsoever that Robert Mueller lied to Congress and nobody has ever accused him of lying to Congress.

Tweet regarding Paul Manafort and compared him being put in ''SOLITARY CONFINEMENT" to the treatment of Al Capone.

Fact check:

According to Andrew Weismanm, lead prosecutor under Robert Mueller and Senior Fellow at the NYU School of Law, "Paul Manafort has never been in solitary confinement. Just to be clear, judges do not place people in solitary confinement or not. Where people are placed and how they're housed is done by the warden of the prison. Because he was a high-profile inmate, Paul Manafort was placed in what's known as a 'Michael Vicks suite' ... as two previous high-profile inmates — former NFL star Michael Vick and Chris Brown had been detained. He did not wear prison clothes, he was caught on tape saying he was being treated like a VIP, he had internet access, he had a private room, private library with a laptop and a huge extension cord so he could bring it anywhere he wanted. So, that's Paul Manafort's 'solitary confinement".

Roger Stone apologized to Judge Amy Berman Jackson after posting this on his twitter, a 'bullseye' next to her photo. She is the same judge that's going to be passing sentence on Stone next Thursday.

Yeah, it's not good, not good at all. I can't believe that the GOP-Partisans excuse this sort of behavior either. Turn-coats.

It’s a good thing that Trump is intervening against the injustice being perpetrated by the “Justice” Department. Hopefully he sends some career bureaucrats packing.

Part of me really hopes that the first official act following the inauguration of a Democratic President in 2021 is to forcibly remove Trump’s cabinet and toss them to the mob.

I hope the judge gives roger a fifteen year sentence to send a message to trump and his cronies and it's probably going to be a woman to have enough balls to send the message.

I know there's plenty of space left at Guantanamo, that's where all the spies against the US are being kept. Might be a good option.

Most Congressional Republicans are cowards. They have only one purpose: Kiss tRump's ass.

Trump's idea of getting rid of the "deep state" is shredding the US Constitution.

Fun that you can't actually cite any such 'injustice' that he's righting.

The past three years has similarities to Germany in the 1920's.
In 1924, the DNVP (German National People's Party) political party won only 19% of the German vote. One of the leaders of the DNVP who owned a leading newspaper media company helped form
an alliance with a little known Adolph Hitler's small, but aggressively anti-democratic Nazi Party. The Nazi Party's growth was driven by a coalition of The Junkers (rich land owners and industrialists who
hated democracy and the Jews) and Conservative Protestants.

Germany was yanked hard Right by the Nazi's relentless denigration of any opposition as enemies (sound familiar?) and the wedge issues of war reparations (payments to the victorious WW One Allies)
and increased racist attitudes including calling for an end to all "Jewish cultural influence."

The unwillingness of the GOP to push back on this out of control president is frightening.
Republicans in and out of the government are either a) completely supportive of being led by a dictatorial tyrant, or
b) so afraid of receiving Trump's political death sentence that they refuse to challenge him.

Were you equally as concerned about the integrity of our justice system when obama said this during sn open investigation
WASHINGTON — President Obama said in an interview broadcast on Sunday that while Hillary Clinton had been careless in managing her emails as secretary of state, she would never intentionally do anything to endanger the country.
Curiously the DOJ choose the exact same language when explaining why they choose not to charge her.
I dont recall a peep coming from any of you sbout that but now we should believe your concern about the president voicing his opinion about a court case is sincere? Nice try but I am not buying it.

It would not surprise me if a democrat does not occupy the WH before 2028.

It's really been frightening how quickly a 243 year old democracy can disappear. It's like experiencing the suddenly death of a beloved friend or family member.

The "restructuring" occurred in the scheming between the prosecution and the judge.

Here is one of the jurors that Berman prevented being excused from the jury.

BREAKING: Roger Stone's Legal Team Releases Statement on Anti-Trump Lead Juror Tomeka Hart - They Are "Determining Appropriate Next Steps"

And the same conniving going on regarding the prosecution sentence recommendation in the Stone case...after lying to their superiors...is going on in the Flynn case.

Report: Flynn Prosecutors Misled AG Bill Barr on Gen. Flynn Sentencing - Just Like Roger Stone Prosecutors

So no. It's not Trump...it's not Barr...who are restructuring our Justice Department. It is Deep State DOJ pukes...along with a despicable judge...who are using our justice system as a corrupt, political weapon.

If true, it would not surprise me if the “deep state” becomes a very real and dangerous thing for Donald Trump.

This level of open corruption is unprecedented even for the US government.

Trump supporters have given Trump and his cronies Carte Blanche to create havoc and to act with impunity.

And the worst part is you’re incredibly pleased with yourselves because of it.

And you wonder why people think you’re a cult.

I love how, for the past 3 years now, it's never been Trump's fault, it's always every one elses' fault.

"This is everyone's fault but my own" - Homer Simpson.

No, this isn't about Deep State pukes or a despicable judge. Or what ever other loony conspiracy theory you want to throw out there. This is about Trump and his cronies doing everything they can to protect their friends and investments from repercussions of criminal actions. That's it. It's not everybody's fault but Trumps. It's Trumps fault. His administration is doing this.

Own up and take some accountability for once.

It's really gotten bad. At this point, I think the Trump cultists are American-hating turncoats. They'd sell the Republic out for a little more "glory" for Trump. Truly disgusting.

Come November my wish is for the GOP to receive a thumping losing the House, the Senate & the Oval Office.
Trump must be defeated. But despite my tendency for optimism, I am uncertain if an adequate number of Americans care enough about our Constitution and Bill of Rights
to get off their ass and vote. I know many who seem satisfied with a president who I consider a dangerous anti-democracy monster.
If voter turnout is significant come November will a majority of voters vote for one of the Left-leaning Dems such as Sanders who generates enthusiasm among younger voters?
Watching the candidates carefully has pushed me into the Bloomberg column. His moderate pro-business persona and reputation for competency would be a solid antidote for Trumpism.

A first time offender going to prison for nine years for obstructing an investigation into something that never actually happened and for threatening a witness who testified he didn't feel at all threatened?
In a an era of judicial and sentencing reform, reasonable people can certainly see such a recommendation as rather draconian.

Oh?

Was it Trump and his cronies that made the DOJ prosecutors lie to their superiors about what sentence they were intending to recommend to the judge...in two separate cases that just so happened to involve people associated with Trump?

If you really think that, then I'd say it's YOU who is throwing conspiracy theories out there.

Huh. So, IOW, you're just blathering things from your imagination and nothing based in reality.

Sorry you couldn't cite any injustices happening to poor wittle Wodger.

Agreed. The Republican Party has become a modern Trojan Horse. Spewing hate toward everyone who has the slightest disagreement is bad enough.
But the Republican's acceptance of Trump's constant attacks on our institutions, patriotic war heroes, our laws and the US Constitution make this election
a struggle between the Force and the Dark Side. I will never forgive the GOP for becoming a party of spineless, parasitic sycophants who have chosen to
stand by silently as the republic is raped by a few who have sold their souls for power and wealth.
