Worthless and Unprincipled People Now the Norm!

Speaking of the rule of law - the FISA warrant process was a bit shifty. If Trump is so evil, there's no need to make up stuff to get rid of him.

Well, if we are being honest, I did not like her either but opposite to you, I was convinced then (and even more now) that she was less of a problem to the nation than Trump.

and by the way, I did not vote in 2016 and I personally have made no excuses for her. Lets get that perfectly clear.

So you didn't even vote in 2016 but then sit in judgement of those who did? Shocker.

Economically we are better off, of course with the caveat that the rich are MUCH BETTER OFF than the rest of the nation. Then again, economics is not my number one goal in life (as my avatar below says) and that means that the benefit he has brought is not a benefit that helps me personally. On the other side of the coin, the negatives he has brought to everything else that is not economics, far surpasses the good things. Meaning that to me, he has been a horrible president. I was much, much, much happier with Obama than with Trump.

Ignorance is bliss.

It's a good sentiment you have.

You have rose colored glasses about how people have been in history.

What's different isn't that they're worse people so much, it's that unlike in the past, there is a massive 'mind control' operation of right-wing messaging that is organized to turn them into a cult.

All day, every day, they have available propaganda lulling them into false world views. And it has a devastating effect on the country, with nearly half seduced into the bubble.

I don't know of an easy correction. You could say, 'tell them the truth', but the propaganda makes them pretty immune and when would they listen to it much?

Throughout our over-200-year existence of the United States, honor, principles, courage, and betterment-of-ourselves as people has been the norm.

We always fought corruption, we always led with law and justice being the stalwart we used, and we offered an open hand to all in the world to come here to seek better lives and get away from dictators and oppression. We were the "shining star" in a world where much blackness existed.

We were the best of the best and the standard of what everyone in the world should strive for.

There are countless stories of people giving up their lives defending who we were and sacrificing everything to support the standards that we lived by.

That is now being destroyed more and more by this president and his minions. There is no Republican in the Senate, other than Romney, that has the courage and respect for the vows of office to stand up and stop the destruction of the systems that our forefathers worked so hard to implement. There is no Republican in any position of power anymore that has the principles and desire to do what is right and to defend their nation from corruption, which is now in the open and saying to us all "so what, try to stop us! You can't and you don't have the guts to even try"

There are now close to 63 million Trump supporters that are also willing to give up everything this nation has stood for and whose parents, grandparents, and great grandparents worked for to achieve, They have lost their own personalities to follow a false God that has promised to "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) but who is actually "Making America Lose Everything" (MALE) that we have been in the past.

It is clearly a fight between the best in us and the worst in us and right now the worst in us is winning.

We don't need a savior as that means depending on someone else other than in ourselves. For example, many think that Trump is their savior and that is making things worse (not better) as he is taking us down an abyss from which we will not come back from. What we need to do is for each of us to look inside and find our better selves and rise to stand up for who we are and not for what one person wants us to be for his own benefit.

Wake up and look and stop believing what you hear. In this respect, you need to listen to your Idol who has said this to you since he was elected. Look at how you personally would like to be treated and what you personally stand for and decide if this is what you want to be known for when you die. Whether you have done what God brought you to this earth to do. Look down and deep inside and decide who you are and represent and have the courage to stand up for yourself and not stand up for a false God that only thinks of himself.

Stop making excuses for him and stand up for yourself and if what he does is what you represent, then have the guts to say so.

Christians should stand against abortion, homosexuality, communism and all other evils whether their national leaders do or not.

I am not God and that is not something I can judge. What I can judge, is what Trump does that hurts people and is against the Constitution.

There are some unhappy people who hate Trump and think the country is in a depression because of Trump. Those people are not correct.

First of all, you need some education. Feelings are never right or wrong because people will always feel what they feel and no words can ever change that.

In addition, in 2016 many people did not know much about Trump other than what they had seen on TV. They either liked or disliked his "you're Fired" persona. Nonetheless, since he has taken office he has

1) attacked people verbally
2) debased patriots
3) demeaned women
4) been accused of sexual misconduct
5) hurt many hard working Americans by closing the government
6) separated kids from their mothers and did not keep track of where they were sent so they could reunite in the future
7) attacked almost half of Americans because they are Democrats
8) supported known killers of innocents like Kim Jong-un
9) made enemies of our friends
10) made friends of our enemies
11) disavowed global warming that worries most people
12) complained every day of being mistreated and being a victim

I could go on but these are enough reasons to prove that what many people "feel" is not incorrect. He stimulated these feelings by doing all of those things. You actually believe that if someone calls you an "enemy of the people" simply because you think differently that he does is going to be endearing? You think mothers are not going to feel the pain of children being separated from their mothers even if it is not their own kids? You think listening to someone who is in power complain every day about being a victim does not rile people? You think that if you are doing your job well but through no fault of your own and at the whim of someone else you do not get paid for 34 days that you are going to feel positive about that person?

Marke, you truly are not using your head and even less feeling empathy toward anyone else that is not you.

It is you that is 100% mistaken and after 3 years of many like me trying to get you to see the light about what is right or wrong and you still come up with posts like this, it makes me feel you are a lost soul that will never see the light?

Democrats keep trying to turn American attention away from the good that is happening all around them to focus on all the disrespectful allegations they have piled up against the biggest obstacle to their chances of winning in 2020. Don't worry about those democrats. It is not personal to them, just politics.

This argument was lost before it even begun. This is just a long winded OP to disparage those who would disagree with you. Sorry Charlie nobody is going to be convinced that way.

Well that and it couldn't be historically further from the truth if he even tried.

Marke, you are a lost case.

Truth and fact are of no interest to you. Trump could literally rape yout sister and call your mother a prostitute and you would not see it that way and kiss his ass.

I have lost all desire to continue to communicate with you. You are just seeing things the way you want to see them and facts are a nuisance to you.

Good bye marke.

You are right, but then again, should we support it simply because it is who we are? Are we not supposed to attempt to be better than what we have been in the past? Should be just accept what is, and not try to make it better? That is what our forefathers did, are we not supposed to try to do the same?

Yes, we should try to improve things. Yes we should strive for the rule of law. Yes we should strive to be the land of the free and home of the brave. Those are grand ideals, and I'm with you on that.

The trouble is that our system, led by corrupt humans, has failed, not unlike the way Rome's grand ideals eventually failed.

Even the good men and women elected and sent to Washington cannot overcome the inertia and rot that has grown over so many decades. The good people serve 1 or 2 terms, and then are either run out by the system or resign in disgust.

I agree but surrendering to the inevitable is not an option. Complaining about it is also useless. Each and every one of us has to do our part whether we emerge as winners or losers. If enough people do something about it, success is reachable no matter how dire and unsolvable it looks right now.

We will be judged by God not by results but by whether we tried or not.

I have been here on this debate board for over 2 years and I do not feel that I have yet won one single battle even though I feel that I have been in the right 90% of the time. Yet, you see me trying over and over again and not giving up. Have I felt like giving up? Almost every day, but I do know that objectives are not measured by miles gained but by inches gained. Perhaps in 2 years I have gained a couple of inches and that is progress.

How do you see your role in this battle?

How do you see your role in this battle?

Repeating truth and facts over and over and over and over and over again.

In general, it is difficult to argue against fact and truth though deflection and ignoring fact is used consistently. Fact and Truth cannot be destroyed and the ones trying to destroy them ultimately run out of ammunition as there are only so many lies that can be invented to excuse away some truth or fact.

It is impossible to forget a truth but easy to forget a lie given. Wear them out is what I am saying.

I am reminded of what Bill Casey of the CIA said back in about 1981: "when everything the American people believe is false, we will know the success of our misinformation efforts".

Hang in there dude!
