What Will Be The Future of The Republican Party When These States Turn Blue?

As I mentioned I remember the set of facts in 2009 that caused some to predict the "permanent Democratic majority". Two years later, it crumbled, with the Dems LOSING the House. So your tiny set of cherry-picked facts doesn't mean much.

Yep, and let's not forget it completely collapsed in 2016 as well.

Your ad hom fail was to be expected from a poster who is known to be intellectually dishonest.

Whatever that mean

You also missed he was talking about congress would always keep a Democrat majority?

Nah, I'll get back to you when Texas and AZ will go BLUE in the near future

I don't think they will. Too many religious conservatives in both states.
They're not going to vote for any leftist wacko who thinks late term abortion is okay.

That's not what he wrote but you'd already know that if you bothered to read his posts for context.

Well, that's not what the numbers/election results are showing

All foreigners

No, in my area it’s because lots of people are getting rich and crowding others out of the housing market. Value of my home has almost quadrupled since I bought it 25 years ago, yet population in my city has remained reasonably steady. Moderate income and poor people have moved out, wealthier Americans moved in.

Where did I err?

What city do you live in if you don't mind me asking?

I'm from Calif

Texas and AZ are going to be Blue states in the near future

I just saw that Bernie Sanders Twitted:

Don't tell
@realDonaldTrump
this because he'll get very nervous—we're going to beat him in Texas.

I am wondering, how soon Texas could go blue. It would crazy if Bernie turns it blue.

In the short term, the GOP will be a minority party but will adjust it's platform to a more centrist platform and become competitive again. As the wave of baby boomers fades away, control of the GOP will be fought between the far right and the more center right. I expect the far right will be too weakend living under DNC majority and will fail to win over the GOP.

they are winning because of gerrymandering. If they don't change their platform, they always have that.

Not soon. Probably, not in this lifetime. As with a lot of these statements, it assumes that Hispanic voters are always going to be Democratic voters. It assumes that California Democrats will stay Democrats. Reality is much more complex.

Not to hear Obama's former speechwriter tell it; Luckyone's thread
Yeah, I saw Lucky's blather. If I ever get around to writing my book What the **** Happened to the Democratic Party he's gonna take up a whole chapter. :lamo

Voter suppression was a big factor in the 2016 election and will be an even bigger factor in 2020. In Florida where there has historically been problem with elections, last year alone, republicans removed over 360,000 overwhelmingly democratic voters from the rolls. Florida is changing voting precincts, they're determining a hunter's license as a sufficient form of ID but a person's student ID is not.

That's because a Florida hunting license clearly states whether or not the person is a resident due to greatly higher fees for someone who is out-of-state - and it required a Florida state ID to get a Florida resident hunting license. A student ID does not indicate the residency of the student, which then would allow a student to both vote in Florida AND in their home state.

Try researching before you post your rants.

Well, Beto almost did

Oh my

Obviously.

The actual behavior of the ideology, not the propaganda frosting provided by conservative narrative managers.

Or the propaganda frosting provided by liberal(a failed ideology that is trying to be called “progressive”) narrative ”managers”.

At least you don't pretend its only the other side that does it.

That's progress.

Trump isn't a conservative

Lesson over
The post you're responding to had nothing to do with Trump. When you can't argue facts just spew a "Yeah, but Trump . . ." eh? :lamo

The existing walls? Oh, you mean the chicken wire and 8' high corrugated metal that people can push over as they come in. Yea, those were very effective.

...says the FauxNews lover from Maryland...:lamo

Clearly, you've never actually SEEN a border wall, like those here in Texas. I keep telling you, as long as you keep watching fake news, you're going to keep coming across as an uneducated ideologue, veritas.

"8' corrugated metal my @ss" :lamo

I hate to break it to you but the wall is being built and will be built and there is nothing the pro-illegal immigrant, America Lasters can do to stop it.
:lamo...you people live in such a fantasy land of fake-news. It's almost funny to see you think out loud.

But here are the FACTS for you. To date, about110 miles of REPLACEMENT fencing has been built, almost ALL of which was from existing plans and construction begun under the Obama administration. There is been VIRTUALLY zero NEW WALL built by Trump in places that did not already have existing walls when Trump took office.

The cost of Trump's "new" wall (which will NEVER be built) is now known. It will be about $30 MILLION per Square Mile, which is quite a contrast from the lies about having Mexico pay for it, wouldn't you agree? Of course, you don't mind, because (as I've said many times) you people don't care about "border security". You only care about preserving white hegemony and your collective sense of white privilege.

I see you can't get off the race drug, either. Sad.
:lamo
...says the white guy who wants to keep brown people out of "his" country. Be honest, what you hate is that I see you for what you are, and you don't have the stones to admit it.

I've nowhere and in no way, in even the vaguest terms indicated ANY interest in, association with or sympathy for, white nationalism
Of course you have. That's the entire basis for your "build that wall!" anti-immigration stance. It's exactly why you obsess about deporting 12 million brown people from the U.S. on threads like this one....yet NEVER say anything about the other HALF of the "illegal" population that comes from to the U.S. Europe and Asia. Your focus is clear, whether you recognize it, or not. If it upsets you when I point out FACTS...I'm sorry.

Also, the terms race card and race baiting are perfectly appropriate descriptions for what those people do who see all issues through the prism of race and run to race as their default safe space whenever they can't or won't talk about other issues.
Nah, it's just as I said. The ONLY people who use terms like "race-baiter" and "race card"...are right wing conservatives who have "issues" about race. It's easy to identify them/you every time they/you use those kind of catch-phrases and terms that were created in the bowels of the alt-right (and FoxNews) universe. They are like calling cards for angry white conservatives.

Your continued insults and personal attacks are also born of your weakness of character. What are you afraid of? If you think I can be bullied in any way, you are sadly mistaken. You engage in attacks because you have to make yourself feel good. It's sad but seems to be the case.
You feel bullied? Seriously? Dude, you need to toughen up.

I have read many of your uniformed, fact-free opinions on this board, and have often called on you to defend them SUBSTANTIVELY. To date, that hasn't happened. Regardless of the topic of the thread, you have proven...over and over...that your "facts" are dictated to you by your far-right wing politics. All I do is point that out, when you get too carried away with yourself. Stop whining, already.

As to your questions, the liberties of conservatives, Christians, gun owners, those evil Trump supporters (especially white ones) and anyone else the left doesn't like will all be under assault when and if they get power. The funny part is that the average Joe who votes for them will suffer too, economically if not otherwise.
You mean "conservatives" like you..."Christians" like you..."gun owners" like you....and "Trump supporters, especially white ones" like you, right? Of course you did, because you certainly don't represent all conservatives......nor most Christians...nor most gun owners. But it's good that you are finally admitting that your support for Trump and his policies is race-based, finally. I always knew that, but you've been shy about admitting it.

My solution? Keep them from getting power for as long as possible.
And by any means necessary, right? Of course I'm right.

As I've been saying, your goal is power. You don't care about honesty, facts, morals or faith. You don't care if you have to sell your souls for it, because many of you already have.
