She didn't rip it up to be evil. What was in that speech was utter garbage. The way Trump presented it was crude for the setting. He only does things for the spectacle of it, and he got a spectacle back from her in spades.

I didn't like what she did. Staying classy is always the best option. Like Michelle Obama said, "when they go low, we go high." Trying to combat Trump by stooping to his level has never worked. Ask Elizabeth Warren with her genetic test.

You open up a thread about Pelosi crushing Trump, and it is a failure.

“That matters”... enjoy the hollow victory lap. Trump’s numbers are up, this Democrat lot of hopefuls ripping into each other, and Pelosi has been reduced to ripping up her copy of a speech to stay relevant.

Every now and then it's fun to drop to almost their level just to watch them circle the wagons in outrage. Honestly, she could have gone hand to hand if she made spit balls and plinked him through a straw while he was rambling. That's about his mentality every day that he wakes up.
 
Pelosi should take some lessons from Ivanka or Melania on how to act like a lady.

I didn't watch the SOTU. I came in here later on and saw the topic of her tearing the speech. That was followed by another handful of threads about: her tearing up the speech. I opened my FB. Guess what? Memes from my Trump buddies crying about Nancy. Last night in here? More threads about big bad Nancy!!

What I know of Trumps SOTU? His wife hung a medal around the neck of a man who is a blow hard divisive fool.

So no, not a thread failure. Just one you don't like.

You think using the SOTU to decorate a sexist racist is winning? I agree he went reality tv and this country is a piss poor state if that's what we use as a yardstick in the future. A snake oil salesman has more people by the nuts than the old War of the Worlds and it's beyond insane to watch.

Why did 50% of the voters want Trump impeached and thrown out?

Why did 75% of the voters want witnesses in the "trial"?

You seem to think what the voters really want is for Trump to continue his lies and corruption. I think the numbers prove you wrong.

Yes he's still there, but not because he deserves to be. He's still there because the spineless fearful Republicans were too afraid to stand up for what they truly believed. Too cowardly, in my opinion, to do the right thing.

Except for Romney. Good on him for his bravery for speaking his truth, knowing what the consequences would be.

It is not a bad thing to overturn a presidential election if the president is a crook. That is why the Founders put an Impeachment clause in the Constitution, to nullify the effect of an election by giving a criminal the boot.
