Are You OK With Bloomberg Buying The Presidency?

This question is really for the left but everyone is free to voice their opinion. There are a lot of Bernie supporters out there who are against big money in politics and that Bernie represents the average Joe and Jane and his campaign is built around a bunch of small donations while he refuses money from Wall Street (whatever the hell that is). So, hypothetically, if Bloomberg were able to bypass Bernie and actually win the nomination (not so far fetched), could you lefties actually support Bloomberg buying the presidency, anything to get rid of Trump - the end justifies the means?

I must have missed it. How much is Bloomberg paying for each vote?

You don't know what Wall Street is?
It's disgraceful. I'm going to maybe and I'm looking at it very seriously. We're doing some other things that you probably noticed like some of the very important things that we're doing now. But we're looking at it very seriously because you can't do that. - President Donald J. Trump

Trump's Oligarch backers will do all they can to anoint him imperial president for life. That's the greatest threat to OUR Constitution … ever.

That's one. Two? I actually think Bloomberg is a patriot, that will actually take his presidential oath of office seriously; unlike this petty petulant prick we now have in the White House. SO, IF Bloomberg is the Democratic nominee … I'll work for his campaign, I'll register voters, I'll put signs in my yard and stickers on my vehicle. AND! You can bet your ass I'll vote for him.
I will not entertain the notion that Donald Trump's vision of the world can ever prevail, that one evil man can erase thousands of years of the evolution of civilized society.

You have Bloomberg confused with other politicians. Bloomberg isn't taking campaign money from big donors, he IS the big donor. He's using his own money. He's worth about $62 billion.

As long as it's legal for any candidate to take money from billionaires, Super Pacs, corporate donors, special interest groups or anyone else for that matter, things will never change. Money buys our politicians, period. Nobody likes it, nobody agrees with it but once those people pay their way into office there's certainly not going to be any type of campaign finance laws changed.

The lobby laws have to change in order to keep big money out of political elections. Money doesn’t just give big spenders the chance to express a view or support a candidate; it gives them leverage to reshape the American economy in their favor. The interests of today’s corporate titans (ie: Wall St) are not well aligned with the interests of the American middle class.

I dont have a problem with any candidate investing their personal wealth into their campaign even if they have a lot of it. In fact in some ways its a good thing if he isnt beholden to big money donors because his campagin is self financed.
I dont think it increases or decreases his likelihood of winning.
As long as he does it in accordance with the law I say more power to him.

100% in agreement with you. I have already submitted my name to his campaign to volunteer if he's the candidate. Mike Bloomberg is someone I have always trusted. I'm of the mind that a man with that degree of wealth can't be bought. He's a self-made man. Furthermore, I just trust him. Mike Bloomberg has no desire to sell weapons to a US adversary or put out military in harms way to protect oil fields that belong to Syria. He won't let the murder of a US resident slide by no matter what government was responsible for it. And he would never take opposition research from a foreign adversary.

Are you OK with Trump buying and cheating his way to the presidency?
