Are You OK With Bloomberg Buying The Presidency?

I know. You would throw all of your values right out the window just to beat Trump.

Absolutely. Why not? The republicans have thrown out all of their values. If snoop dog was nominated by the dems I would vote for him.

This question is really for the left but everyone is free to voice their opinion. There are a lot of Bernie supporters out there who are against big money in politics and that Bernie represents the average Joe and Jane and his campaign is built around a bunch of small donations while he refuses money from Wall Street (whatever the hell that is). So, hypothetically, if Bloomberg were able to bypass Bernie and actually win the nomination (not so far fetched), could you lefties actually support Bloomberg buying the presidency, anything to get rid of Trump - the end justifies the means?

It's not going to happen, so it's a silly what if.

But the left isn't liberal, and doesn't support Bloomberg.

Those who DO support Bloomberg are liberal (aka sideways/upside down conservatives), not on the left.

:shrug:

I must have missed it. How much is Bloomberg paying for each vote?

You don't know what Wall Street is?

~~~~~~
Bloomberg is trying to buy the nomination and has already spent more than $300 million whereas Trump's total investment in the 2016 race of $66.1 million, filings confirm. Trump spent a total of $647 million.... what will Bloomberg spent in the coming year after already spending $300 million. Please note that Democrats spent $1 Billion and lost in 2016
Bloomberg - Are you a robot?
I think you been watching too much Homeland.
LAFFRIOT
I have never seen Homeland. But the fact that Trump is all but declaring himself king, and the guy who is supposed to be defending the Constitution is playing enforcer and enabler to the man child, does represent the greatest threat to American democracy.
No, that's not how it works. I'm not a tRump republican't.
Here's what "they" say about me, "You can always tell Irwin, but you can't tell him much." I'll vote for whom I want to, and I want Donald Jane tRump out of OUR White House.<--Period
So it doesn't really matter to me, whomever is running against tRump, is who I will vote for. And I'll work my ass off for their campaign, to get out the vote and anything else that comes to mind.
That attitude is how Hitler was elected in Germany too. Anyone who is ranting and promising everything you want to hear when you don't like the status quo. So go ahead and send the police to black communities to throw young blacks against the wall and charge them with anything they can dream up - do ANYTHING because you want crime stopped.
That's your stated view of how to deal with frustration anyway. Got rats? Burn down the house. Burn down the neighbors houses too. If there is a strong wind and burns down the entire city, at least you were killing rats. All that matters is killing the rats, even if that means destroying and killing everything else. .
It is the left who have been calling Trump the king, and that is after he beat the annointed one, Queen Hillary.
It's certainly preferable to one that sets up secret meetings with our enemies and extorts foreign countries to get assistance in order to win the presidency. That's for sure.
The Democratic Party has always worshiped and worked for the super rich. The Civil War was started by the richest people in the USA at the time, plantation slave owners.
To this day, the Democratic Party uses the same logic it used to defend slavery. "If we don't have millions of an underclass of illegal immigrants who will pick the crops, mow the yards, clean the toilets and raise the children extra cheap for rich white people?"
Never underestimate the Trumpster’s when it comes to posting fake concerns and making misleading claims.
Maybe Trump only reported $66.1 million in direct campaign spending, but the FSB was very busy devoting considerable resources to Microtargeting potential Trump voters and flooding social media with fake news designed to be shared with the public by Trump supporters. That is still going on.
Trump has already said he is going to spend a billion. And that does not include the Russian money.
At least with Bloomberg, you know it’s his money.
(Trump never had that kind of money).
The same reason given for supporting Bloomberg is identical to the reason given why Democrats had to support Hilary Clinton: Democrats who believing money and power overcomes being unlikable, lazy and arrogant.
Limbaughloonies and the sort who respond to Trumpian race baiting are usually claiming that the North started the war. Glad to see you admit the truth.
BTW, the party of the rich, then, and now, is the GOP.
In 1861, the Republican Party was dominated by railroad and iron interests. All the real wealth (and 100% of the new and emerging wealth) was concentrated in the industrial northeast.
I'm certain the Clintons won't give Donald Trump any of their Russian money. Besides, Democrats completely support candidates taking Russian money. The Russians pouring tens of millions of dollars to the Clintons was no secret. The Democratic Party loved that Russian money - so much the Obama administration ordered not investigating Russian involvement our election. The Democratic Party LOVES Russian money and Russian influence in our elections.
I'm not a 'lefty', but I sure as hell would rather have someone buy their way into an election than cheat by having a murderous Russian dictator like Mr. Putin interfere with our US Presidential elections.
Worse than Trump and his family arranging foreign interference by a US enemy to help the POS win, but now he has completely disregarded the oath he took and serves at the pleasure of Mr. Putin only. He's an anti-American traitor who cares nothing about the office, the constitution, the US or its people. He thinks he is above the law, and his spineless sycophants aid in his corruption.
At least Bloomberg is buying the election with his own money. The rest of the field is offering money for free stuff to buy votes.
Obviously you didn't even look at the Bloomberg article that I posted above... But that's okay.... no matter what is positive about any Trump post, you in your TDS will oppose.
Bloomberg is not a Democrat (or progressive, liberal, leftist, etc.) He is an anti-Trump Republican, but figured he had zero chance trying challenge Trump in the Republican primaries. Instead he switched party affiliations and is trying to buy his way onto the Democrat ticket and by all accounts looks like he is succeeding. If the choice in the general comes down to a choice between two old, white, racist, Republican billionaires you can put money on a lot of people sitting at home and just letting Trump win again. I am willing to put money down right here right now that anyone besides Bernie loses to Trump both in the electoral college and in the popular vote.
It would be quite an amazing feat if a rich man enters the DEM primary late, skips the first few primaries and buys a billion dollars worth of adds to win the primary.
I don't really care if he wins or not, but I do know my media stocks will have quite a kick to earnings thanks to MIKE.
See the guy who cheers for a fake billionaire!
A fake billionaire? LOL. Is that why you want to see his taxes so bad, because you think it will prove Trump is not a billionaire? You think his supporters will vote against him if he is not a billionaire? Any sane person realizes that Trump is indeed a billionaire but with real estate values going up and down so much it is difficult to determine if it is 2 or 10 and it really doesn't matter to anyone but those infected with TDS.
His ads are so 1980/90's though, or at least the handful I have seen. He really needs to get a better production team for those things.
Citizen's United says money is free speech. Are you anti-free speech?
BTW Did you hear about the Trump group giving out money to targeted Blacks to vote for Trump?
LOL. I've heard about Democrats wanting to pay slave descendants reparations. Nobody gives out more free money to blacks than Democrats do.
Why is the question "really for the Left" and not really for any voter who wants Trump defeated, the majority of whom would not classify themselves as "Left"? Anyway, Bloomberg is not "buying" the election. He is buying advertising. Voters will make of it what they will. Sanders, complaining about it the loudest, probably gets more free TV time than Bloomberg gets with his ads, and come late summer and fall, both nominees will be "buying the election", as you wrongly describe it.
Trump supporters are fearful of Bloomberg.
As a hard left democrat I'm appalled at the thought of someone buying the democratic nomination and the Presidency. Money in our election system is far worse than any facebook posts by the Russians. How can the democrat leadership allow this? Of course I'm not a democrat but I knew none of them would have a problem with it despite what they claim, so I did it for them.
