If he is smart he will tell the American people the state of the union and not go into the political crap that is going on around it.

It will be fascinating to see if he can do this, which would be the best thing for him to do, or see him give into his base instincts, which is what his supporters love about him.
 
My guess is he'll go over how well the economy is doing and some of the accomplishments of his administration, and some of his goals for the future.
No fake news. Just reality.

Really it should be more to the American people right?

that i what the state of the union is about. In this way he can shift the narrative.

So he can get up on stage and speak to what he is trying to do and lay out what his agenda was for
better immigration laws
making tax cuts permanent for working people.
His NAFTA and china deals etc ...
at the same time he can say that while the senate is attempting to push these things for the american people
the house is more interested in politics and trying to remove him from office instead of doing their job.

He can lay it out so that it shows that he is doing the work that people put in for but
instead of doing their job the house is spending time in frivolous investigations that do nothing
but waste money and time instead of passing real reforms.
 
He will claim to have fixed Trade with the do nothing democrats, shielding his followers from the reality that his trade deal sells out even more workers.

Then he will sniff, and shrug in his sudafed withdrawal.

He may bring up impeachment and claim victory.

In other news, not worth watching.
 
The Dems will pull some kind of stunt like showing up to Trump's SOTU address in blackface. Well maybe just the Virginia delegation.

If trump doesn't stray from the teleprompter - something very unlikely - he will use the personal pronoun "I" several hundred times, touting his greatness, and the economy (with no example of any specific thing he has done to keep the Obama recovery alive).

He will not make note of N. Korea, or the fact that he lied when the Iranian attack left 30 or so of our service personnel with head injuries, or that he gave Russia a fully intact US base in Syria and provide Putin hegemony in the Middle East.

If he strays away from the speech written by others he will attack the Democratic Party, the MSM, the Foreign Press and ramble on with his usual diatribes.
 
His speech will be incoherent and will double WaPo’s “false and misleading statements” meter.
 
IDK. If I were him I would hire Stephen King to write my SOTU and then just mail it to the speaker.....postage due ;)
