Should MSM go down to Fox / Trump TV level?

Fox "news" / Trump TV did not broadcast the case being made for Trump impeachment, but instead kept presenting their right wing propaganda shows.

MSM has been accused by Trumpians for being the enemy of the people and all. Are right wingers expecting MSM to be at the same level as Fox and NOT show Trump defense; and instead continue with their regular shows, on occasion presenting their view of what's going on in the Senate?

Sounds like your answer to OP question is Yes, you expect MSM will not and should not show Trump defense in the next 3 days, just like Trump/Fox TV did not show the House arguments. (Presumably that's why you are directing me to Fox news to hear that defense presentation)

Last night Rep. Schiff covered what meager defenses the Trump lawyers will no doubt present.

I find it striking that many of these same Trump defense lawyers also participated in impeachment Article 2: Obstruction of Congress.

Thats a lie. I watched the entire Senate trial on Fox. When most networks were dropping the trial for lack of interest Fox stayed on it. They only diverted to commentary after about the 10th time they were repeating themselves over and over.

How much of the MSM (outside of Fox News) is covering the Senate impeachment "trial" show gavel to gavel live? Believe it or not, there is other news to be covered during this time period. The basis for most MSM "news" coverage (even outside of Fox News) is to summarize and interpret past events - not to seek to show them live (in real time). BTW, most MSM bias is accomplished by simple omission or, as the NYT puts it, "All the news that's fit to print".

The point of showing live is simply for ratings, which has driven the MSM’s appetite for this hoax from the beginning. It will be interesting to measure the number of viewers of the democrat arguments vs republican arguments.

I watched about 10 seconds each in various drop ins through the day on FOX showing the lying thieves from the House of Lunatics presenting their case.

Pencil Neck is a lying swindler who runs in the opposite direction every time he gets near the truth.

All the rest of the marching in lock step, lying Democrat-Socialists seem to approve what he's doing.

IF they had included ANY crimes in their Articles, and if they had presented any real proof which, obviously, does not exist, and if they were not lying butt-holes, I'd be a little interested.

As it is, I'll thank them to just STFU and get out of the way.

Trump is trying to do some good and wants to do so legally.

It's difficult to believe that the House of Lunatics conjured an Article of Impeachment because the Executive Branch disagreed with the Legislative Branch and asked the Judicial Branch to rule on it.

According to the Democrat-Socialists in the House of Lunatics, following the law is impeachable. Following the law is defined by them as "Obstruction of Congress".

The Democrat-Socialists need to be swept out of office and tossed on the trash heap of history. They are dangerous, dishonest, disgusting and dehumanizing.

How any thinking person can support the use of the Constitution as butt wipe by these jack wagons is beyond me.

the media should report the news, and commentary should be clearly marked as such. however, that doesn't seem to sell.
 
What I expect from the media is reporting of facts, but if someone is blatantly lying to us don't simply give us their words and move on. In far too many cases the media, desperate to appeal to both sides in a polarized country, takes the lazy route and simply acts as if every debate has two equally valid points of view. So sure, show Trump's defense, but if they are just spewing conspiracies and nonsense to placate Trump then do something to ensure viewers know the context.

Most major networks covered it. (until their afternoon/evening prime time of course)

Cable networks covered it 100%.

Wow what a lie!

I turned in to Fox periodically and on multiple days during prime time while both CNN and MSNBC were showing the trial live, and not a single time was Fox showing it.

They would have to climb up to get to fox's level.
Trump made history on friday by being the first president to ever at the pro-life march and out of the entire msm 1 network gave it 15 secs of coverage and all the others made no mention of it at all.
For you to complain that the media isnt partisan enough to satisify you, speaks volumes about who you are.

I would imagine that the ratings for Trumps defense will be higher but that really isnt an indication of much.
Most people who have any interest in this have been hearing the dems arguments for months. Theres nothing new being presented by them but Trump has not presented his defense up till now. I think many on both sides will tune in to hear it.

Thread title: Should MSM go down to Fox / Trump TV level?

If by MSM you mean the other News Channels, they are already there. All the News Channels are pure entertainment....nothing more.

The Networks are not there yet and they should not go there. Newspapers are the farthest from there and they are dying businesses for their efforts which says more about us than them. I would bet there are not more than 1 in 50 people that even knows how to read a newspaper, never mind actually makes the effort.
