So far from what I've seen, the Dems are laying out a solid case, with a verified timeline, and their most compelling witness so far is Trump himself in his own words. All I've seen from the president's team is insults. They haven't disputed any of the facts presented. They must be under the impression that there is nothing to be concerned about. Apparently, the GOP senate is going to listen to the evidence presented and then summarily acquit the president. They will in essence be saying "There is nothing wrong with the president soliciting interference from foreign governments in our elections."

This is the guy who declared he could shoot someone and not lose any votes. In other words he can do anything and not be held accountable.
They are not required to have a trial and if they do, then it is regulated solely and exclusively by the Rules of the Senate, whatever they may be. There is no judicial review. As for being "held accountable", the House is the one who chose to impeach him for something not a crime, not me. What the Senate does with it is up to them, not me, you, the House or the public.

    Re: Scammed by Mitch McConnell

The idiot leftists in the country that are stupid enough to believe the media lie that they are being scammed are probably too stupid to ask how the House impeached a president without enough evidence to present a case in the senate.

Of course...MOST Americans are smart enough to see that of the 18 witnesses the rats called, 17 admitted they had no knowledge of anything improper and the 1 that did have direct knowledge admitted the president told him there he literally wanted nothing. That coupled with the Ukrainian presidents numerous statements that he felt no pressure EVER to conduct an investigation AND coupled with the FACT that the previous administration funneled BILLIONS to Ukraine under the watchful eyes of Joe Biden and the energy company Joe Biden was overseeing managed to steal 1.4 BILLION in US dollars AND that same energy company just happened to hire Joe Bidens son...a stripper hound coke addict that had zero in disutry experience and was literally in the process of being kicked out of the navy for coke use when he was hired...by the company that stole 1.4 billion in US dollars under Joe Bidens watchful eye. Most people agree it was a good idea to make sure the same corruption that the Obama administration engaged in was no longer present.

Yeah...most people in the US aren't stupid enough to fall for the rat party bull****. Most people know this impeachment scam was just that. Most people have seen the rat party clown car full of idiot leftists pressing to 'peach fotty fibe" since before the man was even inaugurated. But those like minded rat party supporters...well...they have spent the last 3 years letting the rat party spoon feed them

You're absolutely correct. There is no statute that declares "The president shall not solicit foreign interference in elections under penalty of law." Therefore, according to you, and apparently the U.S. Senate, it is completely acceptable for the president to do just that. Once they have acquitted him, he will be free to openly invite any foreign government to participate in our elections. You and the rest of the Trump base will celebrate the victory.

It worked for the Clintons. Don't see why it won't work for Trump as well.

must be a bitch knowing they screwed the pooch from go on this one....

you can post all the dribble from left wing sites and msm you like....it doesnt change that FACT

Nancy didnt wait for the court cases to be heard....which is what she needed to do
Furthermore, the House can have numerous do-overs. All they need to do is vote out more articles of impeachment.

Why not start an "impeachment of the month" ritual?

The last Clinton elected to the presidency was Bill in 1998, 22 years ago. Do you have evidence that his election was tainted by foreign interference? You don't, but even if you had, you're implying that you support foreign interference in our elections today. I don't understand why you don't own it. If you think foreign interference in our elections is a good thing, don't be shy about it. Shout it from the rooftops. Be a man about it.

Freedom of speech is freedom of speech. If anybody wishes to offer up an opinion as to whom should win then I support it. As the leader of the free world, I expect the rest of the world to have opinions and a vested interest in who wins.

We're not talking about "opinions" and you know it. So unless you're going to participate in real dialogue, we're done here.

Run away then if you have nothing to offer but xenophobia toward non-american citizens.

Senators have a duty to conduct a fair and full trial. The Republican leader is trying to make sure they canít.

No Witnesses ó No Documents. You'll only see this in the Senate courtroom of Mitch McConnell.

'Midnight' Mitch McConnell has his marching orders from President 'Access Hollywood' ó prevent former National Security Adviser John Bolton, Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, Senior Adviser to the Acting White House Chief of Staff Robert Blair, and Office of Management and Budget official Michael Duffey from testifying in front of the US Senate and the American people at all costs. And do not allow the Senate to subpoena trial-critical Executive Branch documents that impeachment defendant Donald Trump has walled-off in the darkest recesses of the White House.

In no other courtroom in America will you be able to watch as relevant witness/material evidence is purposefully and willfully withheld. This is the courtroom of Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

Little different than the sham trials held in Reconstruction America or the choreographed show- trials held today in Vladimir Putin's Russia.

The Senate makes all the rules. Get over it.
