I don’t deny that Democrats 170 years ago fought for slavery. What I deny is that Democrats of 170 years ago are the same as Democrats of today. Just like I deny that Republicans of 170 years ago are the same as Republicans of today. Or even of 50 years ago.

Yes dems are much different today. Robert Byrd was a founding member of a KKK chapter who stated blacks were mongrels. This was Hillary Clintons mentor. Dems supported both of these racists with passion. Your current #1 pick for POTUS is Joe "Sorts Arfican Americans as being clean or not" Biden. The only difference I see between the previous dems and your latest batch is that we don't allow you keep slaves anymore. This explains why you want the inner cities kept poor and on welfare. Alpha, I'm not defending Joe Biden, I'm a Bernie supporter. I wish the Bidens of the party would **** off already, but the polite racism of the moderate Democrats is nothing compared to the overt racism of the Republican party. You want to convince me that there are still plenty of white racist in this country, especially in positions of power, well guess what Alpha, sold! There are white racists every where. Almost seventy percent of americans want to see a trial with witnesses and documents, that's truth. Let's see what the republicans do with that truth?

As a side topic. I'm just curious how you feel about Bernie being targeted once again by the dnc attack team. Clearly they want him out but they want him out early like the last election so his supporters can have enough time to lick their wounds, pick their chins up amd transition over to voting the way the DNC wants them to which is Joe Biden. Are you going to vote for Biden? I would even question Pelosis timing on sitting on the articles was to also keep Bernie from his campaign while ole Joe has all the stage to himself. Does what the dems are doing anger you Bernie supporters?

Republicans of all stripes were right to clobber Donald Trump for his failure to disavow support from David Duke and the Ku Klux Klan. But some Trump supporters are so desperate to somehow prove that Democrats also harbor racists that they are dredging up the name of the late senator Robert C. Byrd (D-W.Va.)

Yes, Byrd was a member of the Klan. Even worse, as he wrote in his 2005 book, he formed a chapter of the domestic terrorist organization in the 1940s. Then, Byrd went into politics. Several times during his 57 years in Congress, Byrd’s Klan connection threatened to upend his career. But here is where Byrd is no Duke. He admitted his mistake and atoned for it in public and in policy.

In his memoir, Byrd wrote, “It has emerged throughout my life to haunt and embarrass me and has taught me in a very graphic way what one major mistake can do to one’s life, career, and reputation.”

Not really. Some people get upset but I don't. We want to take over the party from the moderates like Pelosi and Biden, of course they're going to fight back. Did everyone think they were going to lay down and let us? If Bernie does lose though, and I don't think he will, but if he does I'll support whoever the nominee is because they would be certainly better than Trump or just about any other Republican.
