Praying in Jesus' name angers democrat lawmakers

Democrats may be a house divided, but they seem universally opposed to praying in Jesus' name. This Christian lawmaker opened a legislative session with a prayer and by the time she had mentioned Jesus several times in her prayer the democrats had become unhinged. They were especially outraged in sympathy with the new Black Muslim lawmaker there who was outraged by the prayer.

Democrats talk about America but their brand of America is not the same God Bless America we have traditionally recognized. Their brand of America is the unholy socialist atheistic "Goddamn America" the immoral democrats are out to create.

It's possible "their version of America" is the Founders' version that includes separation of church and state and equal treatment of religions.

If it is anyone who is becoming “angered and unhinged,” it is Republicans and Social Conservatives who are upset that more of then nation is becoming anti-Theocratic.

Which aligns to what the founders thought, far departed from today’s “Christians.”

Modern leftists are not opposed to prayer or religions in general, but they cannot tolerate fundamental Christianity and claim there should always be a wall of separation between fundamental Christianity and the public, which they think Christians violate if they pray in Jesus' name in public.

The objections are not to prayer in public, but to mandating "public prayer", that is, requiring members of the public besides themselves to participate in prayer. If someone wants to pray at an event or anywhere where others are present that's perfectly fine, just do it privately as prayers should be.

Rambling for several minutes about a need for everyone to convert to Christianity and bow down to the Christian god was entirely inappropriate for the venue and occasion.

Does the strict separation of church and state mean anything to you? Religious observance is not to be part of the governmental function. The government isn't to be supporting relgious belief over non-belif or endorsing one religion or sect over the others by public action, word or policy.
If they want to pray then do it on their own time, their dime and their place but religious observance are not to be part of the government.

Your bible explicitly tells you not to do it, but that has never stopped you because you only read and obey the parts that support your opinions.
