The second amendment rally in Va turned out to be a huge disappointment for the democrats and the radical left wing media. There was NO big shoot out, not a single gun was fired, not a single person was hurt, and they totally picked up after themselves.

All the lies the left wing media said was going to happen didnt!!!!

There is a firearm homicide in our country about every 54 minutes and a high profile, just high profile, mass shooting around once a month (with a bunch of other mass shootings daily). Wives and girlfriends are gunned down by their significant others constantly.

This one event wasn't going to move the needle one way or the other.

Yeah, kinda. They aren't wearing ******s on their heads, at least. There's that, anyway.

Yeah. I would much rather run into someone walking down the street wearing an arsenal rather than a ***** hat. Those ***** hats are so threatening.

I'm glad that no one accidentally shot off a toe.

Big news when the ass wipes don't kill a fellow American, agree.

They're in the wrong place. The border is not even close to them. Who are they protecting?

According to the 2A they would be protecting the "right of the people to...".

Oh, I don't know about that. Maybe there are a few people who watched the hopeful MSM reporting yesterday who recognized all the hyping yesterday.

Funny mashup: Curtis Houck on Twitter: "#NEW MONTAGE from me showing how @CNN and @MSNBC spent their mornings hyping fears that "white nationalists" and "extremists" would cause "violence" at #VirginiaRally for the #2A like in 2017 at Charlottesville #LobbyDay2020… https://t.co/sVfAQAEw2L"

Actually good news for libs...no need to spend days on cable news talking about shootings, can keep the focus on Trump's impeachment.

Make idiots of themselves?

These folks who say it's to protect themselves from an overreaching government, they would be slaughtered by the military if they actually tried shooting things up to make their point. Most folks who have guns have them because they like them and I presume it gives them a feeling of security.

This tells me you don't have one. Aren't you afraid someone will steal your pot?

OK, but what is wrong with that (bolded above)?

Guns scare you? No doubt for urban and suburban dwellers, It's not a normal sight. Around here fire arms are normal.

I responded to a post that pronounced the demonstrators weird, and while I agree that all the tactical gear displayed is kinda weird, It's no more weird than people running around with hats intended to portray female genitalia.

Nah, the chief of police is my buddy. He lives right behind me.

And yes. Amazingly I've managed to survive for over sixty five years without a firearm.

Nothing and let me state, I'm not against people owning firearms. I'm against them taking them out of their homes for 'protection'.

Then you wouldn't have any idea how secure it makes one feel.

Yes, guns do scare me in general and people with guns scare me even more. I also live in a small town in the south, the nearest halfway big city is an hour away.

And to me that's the problem. Any situation a gun owner feels threatened could turn into a deadly shooting scene whereas it might have turned into a fistfight without a gun. Perceived danger is not the same as real danger and a gun makes things so final.

Consider the vietnam fiasco, I'm pretty sure when our soldiers went out on patrol, they perceived danger and yet there may not have been an enemy within twenty miles of them, so no real danger.
