What keep's you Believing In Our Broken Citizen, Therefore our Broken political Process?

The title says "Broken Citizen", not citizenry, hence the confusion.

I disagree that either are broken. I believe our Federal government has become dysfunctional and, therefore, citizens have lost faith in it, but that doesn't make our citizenry broken.

Since you obviously believe it is, what solutions do you recommend for either or both to fix them?

Both parties have moved to such extremes that they refuse to cooperate and compromise with each other. Even Reagan worked with Tip O'Neal. What we have now is Trump calling Pelosi a criminal and vice versa.

Every successive generation believes the one following is spoiled rotten. The problem is, they did the spoiling. An easier life is not always a bad thing either. Humanity is actually a victim of its own success. We didn't plan for the speed of growth and technology, which are our current biggest problems. The economy is propped by phony numbers and will probably stay that way for the wealthy and corporations as long as they can continue to manipulate the false reality of a rising tide lifting all boats.

Think about it, it was this "Compromising" that has started to get away from our Founding principles to begin with?

For example, it gave us the 16 amendment no?

And as you pointed out, there is great division/factions with the party system.

The FAILED INTELLIGENTSIA are both incompetent and immoral.....that is our #1 problem.

We are going to pay for that with BIG PAIN, it is too late now to avoid the charge for bad work.

I agree that the elite and leaders are blinded by their own self serving interests. And yes, ultimately, there will probably be a price but mostly paid by the working poor. I hope I'm not around for anything worse.

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at. As for our political system, I have a problem with the two major parties having a monopoly of it. It's choose between the candidates we give you or go to Hades.
