After going through basic/boot, spending 20 years in, and working for 17 years now with the Army (not to mention growing up on boats as a kid), its hard to imagine ANYONE that has ever served to be so butthurt that they are whining and crying and literally pissing themselves over someone being called a dope and/or a baby.

In 2018 the CJCS assigned the professional Vindman to the National Security Council staff in the WH to become the principal adviser there on Ukraine and Russia. Trump is now impeached and on trial in the Senate due to Trump's Ukraine and Russia related crimes.

He claimed he counseled president Zelencky but when further questioned by republicans admitted he never actually talked with Zelensky, which was a good thing because that was far outside the boundary of his responsibilities. Vindmann also bypassed his superior, Tim Morrison, to take it upon himself to brief a state department lawyer, which was Morrison's job. Finally, Vindmann leaked his version of Trump's phone call to a Trump-hating whistle blower, of all people, which was a violation of security. It seems the junior officer baboon left a trail dookie every where he went. He is an embarrassment to the uniform.

Vindmann was not the ambassador and he was not representing his commander in chief when he stupidly assumed the role of diplomat to Ukraine. He was not a diplomat, he was a military adviser and he was supposed to be there supporting those in the State Department and National Security Office who were carrying out Trump's diplomacy as his proper representatives. Vindmann was either stupid or insubordinate. Either one, he is an embarrassment to the military.

Since 2008 LTC Vindman has been an U.S. Army Foreign Area Officer whose specialty is Eurasian Political & Military Operations. Vindman has a master degree from Harvard in Eastern European and Eurasian Studies with a focus on Russia. Before Harvard he earned a Purple Heart as an infantry officer in Iraq. Vindman was Rotc commissioned in 1999 from SUNY Binghamton.

After these two assignments by the Pentagon Vindman became Russia adviser to the then chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who retired last year (see quote below).

In 2018 the CJCS Dunford assigned Vindman the professional to the staff of the National Security Council in the WH for Ukraine. Vindman testified to Congress that he listened in on the Trump-Zelensky call in his official capacity. In other words Vindman was exactly where he needed to be for the national security when he needed to be there. So you Putin-Trump Rowers are busted on this -- completely.

Since early on I've posted that there's 'Good Trump' and 'Bad Trump', pretty much the same as with any president, i.e. there are no 'perfect' presidents. Use the forum's search function you will see that this is true.

The facts of the matter are that the aid was dispensed within the deadline as specified in the ICA. A memo that should have been sent to Congress might have been missed, but :shrug:
