Do you think that’s an accurate illustration of who he is now?

I actually don’t, but it’s not my responsibility to explain it or get inside Biden’s head. While Biden was spouting racist nonsense and partnering with segregationists, Bernie was getting arrested for protesting against segregation. Sometimes it’s not about changing your rhetoric to fit the times, it’s about what you were doing when the fight really mattered. Biden was glorifying his alliance with Strom Thurmond like yesterday.

Picture these attacks in 2020. Remember, Trump will be 100x more vicious than me. Consider me a sparring partner, Biden supporters. Defend his record.

If you know that his past comments don’t illustrate who he is now then I think you’re being unfair.

I get that you have a favorite candidate. We all do. But if you accept that trump is a genuine threat then you should adopt a strategy of arguing for your favorite candidate instead of trashing the others. Biden may end up being the nominee and your actions here and now do matter.

I disagree. I don’t want Trump to win and I want to hear some defence that is believable if Biden’s the nominee in 2020. How many times can we just explain away Biden’s record as him being an old man from the 1950s. Bernie is older. This is literally nothing compared to what Biden will face against Trump. His supporters really need to step up their defence. If Trump’s is existential threat to America, his supporters aren’t doing America any favours by simply calling this a Bernie Bro attack. He not only said it, his political history supports the statement.

Show me trashing. This is Biden’s record.

What does the quote even mean?

The article isn't very helpful on that count.

[Biden said]...non-"orderly" racial integration policies would cause his children to "grow up in a racial jungle."
Biden emphasized wanting to "insure we do have orderly integration of society," adding he was "not just talking about education but all of society."
He then said: "Unless we do something about this, my children are going to grow up in a jungle, the jungle being a racial jungle with tensions having built so high that it is going to explode at some point. We have got to make some move on this."

    What "this" is Biden discussing?
    I may be wrong.

Maybe Bidens heroic claims of how he saved the world from the likes of Corn Pop comes to mind.

The subject was racial integration in schools. There are elements of animalizing black people in the statement. It’s just as mess of racist tropes and segregationist rhetoric. He references that this ‘racial jungle’ would impact all of society. By the way, I’ll give credit where credit is due. The South was largely successful with school integration. Because the government mandated it. New York is actually the most segregated.

Sanders’ supporters hated John Kerry. That’s why Kerry didn’t win Ohio.

Sanders’ supporters now falling for the Republican line on impeachment wanting Biden to suspend his campaign during the Senate trial.
