Food stamp cuts. Get a job, you sack of crap freeloader.

Multiple lawsuits on this attempt by the Trump administration to lessen the federal deficit. Dont know about you, but I work every day and nobodys paying my grocery bill.
And if you lost your job, your home and your savings tomorrow, you shouldn't receive any support at all?

The article says that able-bodied claimants can only receive food stamps for three-months, which sounds like a reasonable period to support someone while they're seeking work or training. That sounds like the literal safety net rather than freeloading.

Calling anyone a sack of crap freeloader is disgusting.

It does seem odd that NYC and DC are (or should be) considered to be places of limited employment opportunities.

This won't be good for Tweety cultists who are poor. I wonder how they'll blame Obama for it.

Nah, it's the usual right wing rhetoric about something they don't like. As in the demoncrats. Typical childish name calling.

or tRump, orange clown, knuckle dragging rednecks, righties are complete morons and hacks? Lol, sorry, off topic.

A fossil fuel subsidy is any government action that lowers the cost of fossil fuel energy production, raises the price received by energy producers, or lowers the price paid by energy consumers. Essentially, it's anything that rigs the game in favor of fossil fuels compared to other energy sources.

These subsidies are largely invisible to the public, and don't appear in national budgets. But according the the IMF, the world spent $4.7 trillion — or 6.3 percent of global GDP — in 2015 to subsidize fossil fuel use, a figure it estimated rose to $5.2 trillion in 2019.

I guess you don't know that many of those recurving SNAP assistance do work. God forbid you or yours ever need any temporary help.

Making SNAP benefits more temporary (for those not working) is precisely what this "rule change" seeks to do. IMHO, 3 months is too short - I would have worded it such that as long as someone unemployed is receiving UI benefits that they can also get SNAP.

That's not what's going on here. There are plenty of jobs out there to do, almost everywhere. You shouldn't be receiving aid unless you work if you are physically able to. There are too many people out there getting aid when they can work but choose not to.

There are exceptions for places with 6% and higher unemployment rates.

I have to respectfully disagree with you here. Now to just use the word as a generalization is probably as you say. But there actually are a lot of sack of crap freeloaders out there and it is THEY who are disgusting. I've known many in my many days who blatantly abuse the system so they don't have to work. I knew one family in particular who got all kinds of government benefits and were able to work but chose not to and they went around from apartment to apartment, never once paying rent and staying until the police finally legally threw them out, only to move on to do the same thing somewhere else and live rent free for like a half year before they did it again and again.

Some people might abuse the system, but that is no reason to disparage.

LOL. Says the side that has won many contests for childish name calling.

?????????????????????? Then these people have nothing to worry about. So why are the left all up in arms?

How about you shouldn't need aid if you work a full time job? Those are the people being harmed by Trump. Their job doesn't pay enough to survive, but it's better than no job at all. Americans are free to starve?
